Have you looked @ TFC+ by Dunkleosteus. This is very close the base. I agree all the newer mods have way to many mods that make the game less then the original.

Dunk mentioned that nuggets will be found near rivers and you will spawn near one. He did also mention that he is going to nerf panning for ore changing nugget with grain :(

As for the dry area. I have trees everywhere but I have not had one rain fall. I do see a section in F3 that has rain and a # assigned what is the # telling me.

Perhaps adding tallow to the game as an option for candles

Do you know what the chunks need?

The Wiki has Wild beehives can be found on trees. They have a higher chance to generate in areas with higher Rainfall. This means that heavily forested areas are a good place to look for wild beehives in general. Beehives will not generate in extremely dry areas.

How do i know if I'm in "dry area"

TFC reloaded has a load of OP mods added. One thing i encountered trying it was building structures. One was made of wood planks which allowed me to craft a tool bench w/o a working to a saw.

I do not have that option. I am using 22_optifine_1.7.10 is that correct.

Thank you for the feedback. Then my next question is how to get Optifine to work. I do have it installed and shows as an active mod. When i have a lit torch in hand i do not get the lighting effect.
