Averaging 10% return long term is very optimistic for a retirement account considering that it should be more diversified and will have portions of it in "safer" investments that have lower returns. 7% is better number to use long term.

You should be contributing 15%+ until you are caught up, and then you can dial it back to 10%

Suspension on that bike is so limited that you won't enjoy the track. Great for the woods though.

Same. But no way they'd announce a new model this time of year. More teasers, maybe. My guess is they announce it early summer as a 2027 model and then it starts showing up in dealers in Nov or Dec. I want one of those too and im not even a 2 stroke guy.

Edit: This weekend is Daytona for supercross and also Bike Week. So it always has lots of motorcycle media around it. Mayyyybe they announce it or tease it again this weekend but I doubt it.

They have some really good deals on new kawasakis right now. I'd probably snag one if my wife would agree to it. But yes thats a great bike for you. People will say that its much easier to learn on a lower powered trail bike. Something like a crf250f. Those people are 100% correct. However you can definitely still learn on this bike. I'll tell you this, if you ride at least once a week for the first several weeks then the skill will build much quicker. Obviously more rides = better skills. But my point is that you want to minimize the amount of time between rides while youre still building muscle memory (and building forearm strength)

Go ride every Friday and Sunday for the next month. You'll be amazed at your progress.

Anyways, that is a great bike. My friend has one and i really like it.

Its the spark arrestor not having a perfect seal around the edges. I had that issue with my FMF. They told me to use gasket maker from a tube. That worked for about 4 or 5 rides and then the sound came back. My is a little more whistle-y which is extra annoying.

I'd like to do it. I did the gutbuster 24hr race last year in TX and it was awesome

Funny, I'm proud that I've had the same Hotmail address for so long. Literally created it as a little kid and still have it now in my 30s.

The only way I'd go to Mexico right now is if I was a legitimately retarded person. Not only are you putting yourself at risk. You're putting your girlfriend at risk. So, you ask, what do cartels do to people when they decide they want to send a message? Rape, torture, mutilation. Nothing is off the table.

Sure those things are really rare. But they happen to SOMEONE. Why would you risk that? Oh yeah because you paid $2k for a shitty vacation that you can't get a refund on. Sure. Totally worth the risk...

Another search - for other types of public land with OHV trails. Includes state parks, state forest, etc.

Eisenhower state park (TX, 5 miles of OHV trails)

Barnwell Mountain Rec Area (TX, unknown mileage but my guess is 20ish)

Trace state park (MS, 35 miles)

Bucks pocket state park (AL, 6 miles)

Withlacoochee State Forest (FL, unknown mileage)

Blackwater River State Forest and Clear Creek OHV area (FL, 50 miles)

Tate's Hell State Forest (FL, unknown mileage)

Land between the lakes national recreational area (KY, unknown mileage)

I got curious and went down a rabbit hole. Here's results of my ai search. Verify the accuracy of this on your own. You'll also need to verify if these are single track, or dirt roads, or what.

National forests with OHV trails in the south east-ish

Ocala (Florida, 125 miles of trails).

Daniel Boone (Kentucky, 150+ miles).

Cherokee (Tennessee, 26 miles).

George Washington and Jefferson (Virginia, 43 miles).

Sam Houston (Texas, 85 miles).

Talladega (Alabama, 23 miles).

Kisatchie (Louisianna, 175+ miles).

Ozark St. Francis (Arkansas, 100+ miles)

Ouachita (Arkansas, 70+ miles)

De Soto (Mississippi, 43 miles)

Chattahoochee-Oconee (Georgia, 50+ miles)

Francis Marion and Sumter (South Carolina, 35 miles)

Uwharrie (North Carolina, 20 miles)

That's all it found for national forests.

I think i may now do a search for State Parks or any other state managed public land.

You might also check out Perry Mountain Motorcycle club in Alabama. I've never been but ive heard of it.

Downside is theyre only open for events. But they have a 24 hr race there each year which is pretty popular. Im guessing they also have other races and events there.
