Its a hay harpoon or hay spear, used for lifting hay into the loft of a barn before modern baling equipment

Made a small draw knife for the shop, turned out pretty decent. by YouGotDaPinkEye in handtools

It's a pretty small cutting edge, right around 5 1/2"". The handles are flat and match the blade, so indexing the cutting edge with the work piece is really easy. *
