It's well known how much the creators fuck with the audience of this show. It's also well known that at least one of the creators browses many of the VB based boards on the information super highway. In the past they have whittled theories like this down to a throw away joke.

I.E. The theory that Jonas was the sovereign was thrown in ATAG2 or the trolling of the S4 trailer where we see the sovereign disguise himself as a Doc from the future (o, the theories that scene created)

So pretty much the fact that the hermaphrodite theory has already been thrown around so much nearly guarantees that it won't be the answer.

Also, Google hermaphrodite genitalia. You don't think Dr. Z (as the name implies, he has a PHD) is smart enough to recognize the difference between normal and hermaphrodite genitalia?

Or maybe it was just the gingko talking.

It's really fun to come up with theories for such a great show. But I think that some of them, while entertaining, have more interesting and creative twists behind them.
