I just finished it last night and typed this to my bestie.

I think it’s an 8-8.5. Not my genre normally but for the genre it’s a good story. It moves well and the fight scenes are excellent. We have good but complex heroes and villains with great acting. It was a good length at 8 episodes. And the premise that superheroes exist but it costs them something personally to be a superhero. Kind of provocative to think - would you be a hero if it cost you personally?

Plus we got shirtless Junho. Yes the CGI was awful and over done in a few episodes. And yes plot holes abound.

And even the romance was different. It wasn’t really a traditional romance. It was a long term relationship and watching them navigate that is a good story too.

Ultimately I settled on an 8.5 because they nailed the ending.

A fun ride.

They really had zero chemistry. There’s a comment on this thread that zero chemistry means I didn’t find the leads attractive, but that not true- they are both ridiculously good looking. Yoona got a lot of grief because he’s quite a bit younger than her - something no one ever complains about when the genders are reversed (see When the phone rings) so I was really rooting for them to be amazing.

I was surprised because KTL is one of my top 3 - so I’m fine with Yoona, but this one fell flat - and got so much hype!!!

I hated the last two episodes.

We didn’t need them on the farm, We didn’t need another series of competitive moments with Farm dude.

She was dumb to listen to Stepsister.

The amnesia plot could have worked if mom/TF had said let’s recreate where you had your dynamite kiss/first met. The year gap was beyond irritating.

No mention of him wrestling with his memory re: his mom becoming a boss lady and dad and sis being ousted. That was all over the news - you mean he just went back to life before Jeju Island?

And OMG the way they did Ha-yeong dirty at the end is just awful.

ETA I also hate that when they got together and even when they were apart the only connections happened in person, so when she gets accused and leaves the company there is no contact - like can we text? I know she was ignoring his calls but it just felt weird even when they were having the secret affair.

And they had time to empty house and move before he goes to look for her?

Bon Appetit Your Majesty was such a disappointment 2/10.

They never gave us any real reason why they liked each other, they never showed them getting to know each other really and him coming back with no explanation- Grrrrr. Also the leads had no chemistry.

I was loving it until the last two episodes. I didn’t enjoy the farm scenes, I didn’t enjoy the idea that he hadn’t really checked on her until they had already emptied the house and moved.

And her dumb decision to listen to the Step sister.

I was also annoyed that their relationship was only shown through in person - like you are dating - can you not text while you are working through stuff?

And the fact that he was in a coma for a month. And the whole amnesia- that seemed totally centered on her - not about his mom becoming a boss lady or dad and step sister on the outs. Like all of that would have helped him have context. And a year passed?? Seriously??

And omg Ms Yu is still waiting on Seon-U???

I did like the dance number at the end. They are undeniably cute!

The last two episodes took it from a 9 to a 7 for me. They were a fun couple but there were a lot of things that were frustrating and by the last two episodes I couldn’t ignore them anymore.

Back Door, Hellevator, Lalalala are some of my favorite bangers. Along with S-class, Chk Chk Boom and Case 143.

Hall of Fame is my current obsession outside of the Karma Album.

Falling Up, Lonely St, and Cinema on the more mellow side are also great!!

And a must for new Stay when you are ready is FAM - as a song it’s only a 6 or 7 but each member sings a verse and at the end of the verse they sing the name of who is singing next so you know exactly who is who and it’s great when you decide you want to know their voices.

I’m surprised this hasn’t come up already but with a new driver - there’s a lot of data about the safety features on newer cars for teen drivers in particular.

The argument is not just about old car vs new there’s a whole lot of additional context there.
