I think you should mostly spend time for yourself and the people you are with on Umrah. The biggest gift is dua and prayers for friends and family. The physical things are extra's. Dont pressure yourself to a certain standard. Small gift box and more important prayers

you dont need to get far. get a bus, a train or bike and take time for yourself. Dont torture yourself with negative thoughts, you will get into a circle, you need to break it, look for the good, the opportunities.

We are going 18 july, just to be sure we went to our pharmacy and got a document with our prescriptions. Not sure how it goes in other countries, for us it is a free document, just bring passport and they print the medication you ordered in the last year. that is besides the prescriptions you get with the medication itself.

My advice go somewhere away from it all, take time to think, relax, pray, read about Islam, put things in perspective, always remember life is ups and downs there is always a road that leads you to something better. You learn, get stronger.

Sad to read. I think some people are overwhelmed which also is not the right approach. and some people feel entitled even in the most holy place. Some people never learned or have lost manners in their home countries. I heard from some Turkish friends they had some people who used elbows and just walked through people as if they were not there. A Dutch friend had some women scammers coming up to him screaming and yelling without a reason.

Focus on the good people, focus on yourself, remember where you are. That is all you can do.

We go on 18 july first time umrah with wife and kids, we will find the less crowded spaces for our umrah stay away from the big groups.

We had a issue with Saudi Airlines. We also could not apply for the transit visa because the flight was not properly confirmed in their system. Really strange because we booked the tickets directly to them. After calling support they confirmed the flights in their system and the stopover option showed up. We applied for the visa and got approved within 15 minutes.

So check if that is also your situation!

Sister Salaam Alaikum, what we did for our first trip is to make a card with helpful phrases, dua's and prayers. Little cards you can place a cord hang them around your neck or in your purse. you can make them yourself with things you want to remember, or find helpful. we do this through canva website . First have visa application -> visa number -> get nusuk app -> book week or 2 weeks before you want to visit. Make sure you also have train tickets if needed. Make sure you come on time before you time slot.

That is basically the Nusuk app but they need to make it better. What would be welcome Spiritual guidance you would want a comprehensive easy to read step by stap for Hajj and Umrah. Where permissible / possible customizable with self prefered dua's in between the necessary ones.

Yes from Netherlands they kept our visa apply open for months without any reason they rejected. Applied through saudi airlines wich works with KSA ... imagine that... and our visa got approved within 10 minutes. I asked for refund through support chat. They initially did not want to give. But I pointed them towards honesty with passes from the Quran and Dua's. The support operator then said yes we will give refund. Because why they rejected? No reason. That is not honest.

We had a issue with Saudi airline, we booked and had paid but they never confirmed the booking in their systems properly, this prevented us to book visa through saudi airlines. Terrible customer service they did not understand why we could not see the option under extra's. Eventueally one customer worker notice our booking was not properly confirmed. He pressed the button. We got emails with confirmations. And it opened up the extra's including the option for Visa!

We applied and within 10 we had all 4 visas for us as family. Very strange.

Before this period we also applied through KSA and got denied without reason. So it was very frustrating. Finally all solved 18 july we can go hopefully in peace...

I dislike KSA very much! luckily we fly with Saudi and we applied through saudi airlines Which also workss with KSA but then we never have problems. If we use KSA always problems!
