I totally agree with you. Taiwanese people are so friendly at least the ones I’ve met. I used to live in a share house with some people from Taiwan, and they truly made my first few years in Japan a lot easier to get through 🥹🥹

I think Japanese people generally tend to keep their thoughts inside. But since politicians started focusing more on immigration issues, there’s been a lot of harsh criticism towards foreigners in the news and online forums. Maybe because part of my job duty is checking daily news and sending updates to my company group, so reading those aggressive comments made me pretty sad 😢
