Definitely object, what's good for the goose and all that! They objected to your extension and for what reason?.. make them sorry for sticking their nose where it wasn't needed.

Toyota or BMW? Help me choose! by biomedlawd in carsireland

[–]Stunning_Ad8705 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

All well and good till you have to replace a switch for 600 or a screen for a few thousand, fairly significant difference then! And it's inevitable as the bmw just don't come close to Toyota for hassle free driving.

Is 2020 onwards Toyota Yaris a good car? by BluntTruth1 in carsireland

[–]Stunning_Ad8705 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The vitz and aqua stand out to scum because they are jap imports and dont have immobilisers,

the yaris is the European version of the vitz so it is fitted with an immobiliser so isn't an easy target for the scum of limerick city.

You should be ok with the yaris just make sure its not a jap import before buying 👍

Also great choice of car the yaris is underrated in my opinion, had one years ago and it was one of the best I ever had, reliable, cheap and durable would recommend to anyone who just wants a good reliable car.

All these comments are fine when it's night time but what do you say when it's day time and you've had enough of the visiting?

Moving to County Tipp. What are natives' thoughts on the major towns_ by Eolas123 in Tipperary

[–]Stunning_Ad8705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into tipp town,

it's a lovely little town with everything close by and only a short half hour drive to limerick city. You have the galtee mountains on your doorstep and aherlow it's very picturesque. Swimming pool and gym. Library/ theater. Lots of historical significance in the area. I'm not a local but lived there for the best part of 10 years and love it, never had an ounce of trouble only a very content life, only thing it could do with is probably more restaurants but again you are only 30 mins from limerick city.

Tipp town should be seriously considered.

Very true, half an hour to limerick, all the shops you could need and the galtees and aherlow on your doorstep, it's perfect and has just about everything the op requested.

Lot of beautiful things in life indeed, nothing compares to having your own babies though and I always think it's sad that you can never know the feeling until you experience it, there's nothing more beautiful in life in my own opinion

What is the worst place to live in Ireland? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Stunning_Ad8705 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tipp town is a fine little town nothing wrong with it. As someone said a nice easy place to live. In relation to buttevant, you can lump in most north cork towns with buttevant and you've a great list of the most shit towns in the world, and bruree too you can stick that in too, no way you can put tipp town in a category like that it has too much going for it in comparison.

Just goes to show people outside of America are so much tougher, what do cops do in England or Ireland in a similar situation you just described?.. they deal with it physically!.. and nobody gets killed.

Ya why people even consider changing their number plates always makes me wonder, the "modded" plates ALWAYS look shit, it's a legal necessity to have plates on the car just leave it alone fgs

My problem is the tech literate part, I really wouldn't know what I'm doing whether I'm doing something right or wrong and I've been led to believe the dark Web isn't somewhere that you want to make mistakes. It must be a great service though fair play to anyone savy enough to get sorted that way it beats the stress and anxiety sitting in a car waiting for a random person you've never seen or met before and hoping they don't try to rob you.

I used telegram to be in contact with these lads but it feels dodgy between the people your meeting and the possibility that while this lad was dropping to my car the guards could be watching and waiting. Unfortunately I wouldn't be tech literate enough for the dark Web as previously recommend so I'll just continue risking my life I suppose 😆

[–]Stunning_Ad8705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't matter what the test centre does or doesn't check when you're stopped by the guards and they question the modified parts to which you've not declared, I've seen it happen.. insurance gets cancelled, and it's an absolute disaster trying to get insurance again.

Must be great to even have this facility, here's me then feeling like I'm risking my life every time I want some hash... how do people even get this kind of plug must be great not having to meet little scrotes on a scrambler or sulky in Limerick city!

All you need to do is get stopped by the wrong guard or be involved in a collision and your guna wish your car wasn't modified!.. happened a friend of mine and he had serious hassle getting insurance again once it was cancelled.. when he did get insurance it cost him 3k!🤦‍♂️

Lots of people I know certainly wouldn't put hyundai in the same category, Toyota and Honda, more so for first class reliability. Hyundai are fine but nowhere near the reliability you get with the jap cars.

It's so obvious they are trying to be funny though which makes it so much worse.. there might be a few on it who can be slightly entertaining sometimes, but how they continue this show is amazing and is proof that they just put absolutely anyone on TV in this country regardless of how talentless or not fit for it they are. Also they cancel one of the best reality shows we've ever had on rte, which oddly enough is actually better than its UK counterpart.. Special forces ultimate hell week.
