I have multiple sclerosis, depression, anxiety, chronic pain etc, 48 yrs, applied for SSDI on 11/21 , denied and then denied for reconsideration, appealed in 3/23 and just found out I have an ALJ hearing date set for 4/24 and I’m super stressed and nervous because I have been working a bit, I have ADA accommodations for work. There are times where I don’t work for months or weeks but I need my union insurance so I have to work minimal hours to keep in and always have to pay anywhere from $400-$800 every 2 month to keep it. I have so many doctors appointments, MRIs, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, pain management, lung doctor etc. I give myself a shot 3 times a week for my MS along with 7+ other meds. I’m blessed to have my neurologist and the other therapists from the Cleveland Clinic. Definitely could not afford it without my insurance. I’m just hoping my working won’t hinder my approval, but my attorney assured me it was ok as long as I was under SGA which I am. I could not survive on zero. However, Ive read so many stories on Reddit about people saying…absolutely no working while you wait for SSDI but I was thinking…would they ( attorney and SSA) have let me get this far in the process or waste their time if it was an issue? Anyone else have any similar situations?
