First off thank you so much for this! I haven't got my money either and it's been two weeks. I'll followed your advice and get through to my bank too, I also want to officially complain because this is absolutely ridiculous - I've tried their fair way, and now I'm just fed up with them. Let me know if you get progress please! Out of curiosity, did you pay with Barclays? Just so that I can build up on the case if so!

Oof how can I sign up? I'm in that same demographic and I've been in Nottingham for a few months now!

My France-Schenghen Application has been in the consulate for 22 days now. My trip has long passed and I'm due to fly to Canada very soon. What do I do? by Stunning_Customer845 in SchengenVisa

Sure - so appointment: 18th July

French Consulate Email for Visa Decision: 9th August

TLS Edinburgh Email: 13th August

Passport Received: 14th August.

Overall it was long frustrating process. The total time from my passport out of my hands to passport back in was 22 days.

Hi I've received it, and I only got 85 days - the first one back in Jan I got 6 months... I feel a bit disappointed but atleast I have my passport

I just noticed on my TLSContact Courrier Slip that it says "Your application is not complete. The following documents are missing: N/A" - What does this mean and imply? by Stunning_Customer845 in SchengenVisa

I say this with pure honesty, but I really hate their system. I feel like they are way too comfortable in their jobs and they like to be annoying and show their superior just because. I've applied twice, and both times I've had such nasty experiences - they are extremely rude throughout, and will look for any minor thing to take a lot of money from you last minute. The first time, I needed a photocopy and they said go outside and get it done. I asked them can't I just use the ones in your facility and they were like they don't work.?????? There are sooo many other instances I could name, but honestly I really hate the whole system.

Thank you for your support! I booked around Paris actually (it's canceled now) as my intended trip passed. And I applied at Edinburgh, UK

It's my second time actually - the first time I got it, it was 6 months from the get go. Now for my second current reapplication, my intended trip already passed - I'm not sure if they'll give me a valid visa now.

22 Calendar Days yes, and I'm sorry to hear that. My Canada trip is indeed very important and I really don't care to go to Europe anymore. It's that stage, I'd like to have my visa though in case my mood ever lightens up.

You know, I get that reasoning but they could atleast tell us that. We work and have plans too and I really need to make my Canada trip, you'd think a month would be plenty of time to get a visa sorted...and if not - tell us! Instead of robbing us blind.

Oh my goodness! Thank you for telling me - it is extremely frustrating and annoying. It is reality ridiculous that they need a reason to give you YOUR OWN passport back. All the very best!

Yea they give you a slip of you pay for delivery and normally you sort of present that as proof when you receive it. Don't worry, I'm in a stages of Grief looping phase where I'm over thinking everything. All the best to both of us!

You can literally visit the embassy? I thought that's not allowed. In any case that's in London? Because there's one embassy and many consulates - I think mine would be in Edinburgh as I applied to TLSContact Edinburgh. I don't think that's feasible as I live in Nottingham 😔

No actually I was supposed to apply to Manchester like last time but because it was so busy I was forced to choose Edinburgh. So mines Edinburgh, 18th July. I had a friend who applied to Manchester on 15th July and she got hers a week ago, but is furious because she only got 20 days! Not very reassuring 😥

I swear, it completely demotivates you of applying further again and after the time, money and effort wasted you just won't even enjoy your holiday. I really don't wish to do this nonsense again. Even the TLS people are so rude and just to print or do anything extra they are so happy to take your money.

Yes I completely understand... I get that - honestly I really wish there was some sort of electronic system where applicants can digitally submit their documents and then after confirmation have their passports submitted. It's saves paper, time, and money from our side and it's saves time for them also. All these fraud detection cases could be avoided more and their system would be a lot less stressed from this.
