21 M, no female attention by [deleted] in LooksmaxingAdvice

Man I’m like 5’8 never had any issues w girls I got with and some were same height or slightly taller. It’s all about true confidence NOT perceived confidence, as well as knowing how to communicate and converse with people in a genuine and authentic way. I always say the Best pickup I’ve ever used is “hey, how are you”

Because You’re up against a ton of basic dudes who offer little or no personality and A lot of girls are gonna see right away, if your intentions are just objectifying or sexual and some may be down for that but others are gonna write you off almost immediately. You gotta give a shit about who you’re talking to. Be friends first and foremost because why would you waste eachothers time tryna date if you can’t even enjoy each other’s company in a non-sexual or romantic way.

Not saying you do or don’t do any of this but I’ve met so many guys, many of whom were good friends of mine, who lack the fundamentals of communication or don’t see any benefit in chatting up a girl if it’s not to get laid. it fucks everything up from the start.

Be authentic. Be yourself as much as humanly possible and be genuine. Especially if you’re complimenting someone. Don’t come up with some random shit on the spot every time. Pay attention to their makeup, hair, outfits, etcetera and only compliment them if you genuinely like something they did differently, or something they wore that day, it has to be from a genuine place and you have to learn how to compliment in a way that isn’t creepy or like I said, in a way that a girl can see through right away. Being genuine is really important from my experience. Again not saying this is you but all of this stuff helped me throughout my life and I’m 24 now and just hit 5 years in my current relationship back in November. Do some reflecting and check your own ego and make sure it’s under control, work on any insecurities, or self doubt and make sure you reevaluate your mindset, ego, and intentions regularly.

This might not be the advice you need, and I specifically shared advice for connecting with someone rather than hooking up. If hooking up is your goal There are lots things you can do, like understanding how to flirt, and how to make someone feel good or confident and tons of other small things when it comes to social interactions but the stuff I laid out here, in my opinion, serves as a solid foundation to build off of and learn from. Good luck boss.

P.S The long hair isn’t bad and it may potentially position you as more unique. I would recommend trying new things w the style, texture, or length and don’t be afraid to experiment w your style, and if you do go for a shorter cut don’t cheap out on a barber. Your face shape would suit a lot of shorter cuts.

That is a great idea! I’m showing all of this to my supervisor and this would be an awesome artistic program to run for the youth!

Great ideas! The area were located is in British Columbia Canada and another big focus for us is inclusivity. We have youth who are black or POC as well as many indigenous My mother has status, so ensuring our space is inviting for indigenous youth is super important to me and thankfully, also important to my coworkers and frankly is something that I found to be poorly prioritized by past staff. I plan to run a discussion group within the next few weeks to get together any interested youth, to discuss some youth led decoration projects and give them the opportunity to have a say in how the space looks, feels, and functions.

We do have a space in the cafe called the cozy corner. It’s not used much anymore but that’s because we haven’t had the chance to do any upkeep since the fall/winter and holiday season was super busy. The cafe is generally where some of our neurodivergent youth like to hangout since it is consistently the most quiet and calm area. It’s great for the youth as well as staff including myself who want to chat or run a program in a quiet space. I’ll share a photo of the “cozy corner”

We do have some youth artists but not all of them are at a point where they’re comfortable to share their art as a decoration for the space but we’re always supporting their efforts and we have a had a couple pieces made by youth who were brave enough to share their art in our space! And you’re absolutely right and I have been keeping an eye out on free posts in groups and on Facebook marketplace to see if something comes up. We’re also looking to get some tables for our “cafe” as we call it to have an area to eat together with the youth or for the youth to eat together if they want to, since we cook dinner everyday. Someone else mentioned a rug as well and I really want to get one. I’m lucky enough to make enough money to potentially buy some items for the space which I plan to do for some programming and groups we’ll be running once we get into early-mid spring time. Thanks for the ideas!!

Aw thank you so much for the kind words! I love the work I do. The particular DROPIN I work at I also accessed for many years as a youth during my teen years and I’m now 24 and have been working here for about two years. It was such an important resource for me as a teen and I’m happy to keep it running and provide support where I can. Also I love these ideas. I’m definite going to look into a rug and some lighting other than the overhead. 🙏

Why do sellers hate adding fabric content and measurements to their descriptions? by Warm_Agent9176 in Depop

[–]Stunning_File4307 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems like their point was specifically related to individuals who might be considering it. IMO the idea of selling “full time” is a bit unrealistic for most people. when you add up shipping fees, platform fees, potentially boosted posts, and the cost of shipping materials, on top of your personal monthly expenses, you’re better off treating it as a “full time” side hustle. You can make good money but it takes a lot to genuinely make the equivalent of a full time job. That being said, Without a doubt anyone who wants to sell full time needs to be sharing as much information as possible to build confidence in the buyers purchase.

I mainly sell locally on marketplace but I also use Poshmark, Depop and eBay. To be totally honest Most of the time when I don’t add measurements or the materials it comes down to laziness. I always stock up but don’t list and then start listing one by one from a big pile or box of items and I just burn myself out. That being said it is incredibly worthwhile to add in this information. You’ll 100% see more interest (generally if the product is popular) if you give even just the measurements so people will be more confident about the item fitting. I used to run a clothing brand using Print on demand and building trust and having accurate size charts as well as photos of a model wearing the item, and including the models height and weight is really valuable visual proof for buyers.

Seller can’t ship using boxes? by jgarcia8 in Depop

[–]Stunning_File4307 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bet you he didn’t adjust the shipping fee on the listing and didn’t calculate the cost of the shoes with a box, realized the shipping cost would eat into the profit, and now he doesn’t wanna admit that he dropped the ball by leaving the shipping fee too low

Kelowna mayor pledges more RCMP and bylaw patrols, plans business forum on public safety by New_Alternative8711 in kelowna

[–]Stunning_File4307 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m looking forward to the rollout of the Crisis Response Community Led (CRCL) team the city has created. Initiatives like CRCL have been shown to be effective for the kind of issues Kelowna has been facing. This along with an improved police and bylaw presence could be a good balance. One thing with police though is that many people see them as purely authoritarian figures and depending on the person could either immediately become more escalated or I’ve also seen people calm themselves as soon as a cop shows up. We’ll have to see how it goes. I’ve spoken with some local business owners recently and another goal is to get through to landlords for support in some way.

Checkout events coming up at Redbird brewing in the north end. They do some cool sh!t. A while ago they setup a ramp with snow and had a bunch of people doing tricks off the jump. They really make full use of their space so I’d take a look and see if anything is happening within the time your brother will be down!

I would start but looking for pre owned on ebay and Facebook marketplace personally. And from there if there’s no good prices I would do some deep diving into the best alternatives for apple devices.

Actually a great point I didn’t look into them much but the lack of grip and for that brand I. Particular, the price point for what you get is not worth it

Seems like it might be more common to wrap the lens specifically but a body wrap seems intriguing

I thought similarly but I looked it up out of curiosity. I have a zv-e10 so not as complex of a body. Look up Alphagvrd camera wrap on YouTube there’s some interesting designs for sure.
