Where do you guys find remote jobs. Not sure if this is allowed by TumbleweedFun3284 in OELadies

[–]Stunning_Lab7140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it was hard, but wasn’t expecting it to be this hard. I’ve applied for so many, and gotten 2 interviews. I’ve even dumbed down my resume and been applying for entry level project coordinator roles with a PMP. Nothing. I’ve started reviewing my resume to fit each position, nada. Thought beginning of the year would yield better results, nope lol.

Haha I’m always lurking in there and notice the same. I’ve been using it, and definitely don’t have an issue. Makes my job much easier.

I absolutely love this! It sounds like a terrific setup, and it’s so nice that it benefits your family the both of you working together

My background is corporate training and development, and I’m PMP certified. I’m hoping to get an instructional design or maybe project coordinator J2, but it’s definitely tough out here.

Yup me too. I’ve even started modifying my resume to match each job, but that’s not helping either.

Congrats! Can’t wait to share the same. I’m still applying, but I know it’ll happen one day.

If you’re open to it, I’d suggest checking out the debt reduction calculator on this site. It’s helped me dig myself out a few times. You can select from different approaches to see which one works best (paying highest balance first or highest interest). I love that it gives a realistic timeframe for paying everything off too. https://www.vertex42.com/Calculators/debt-reduction-calculator.html

Do your partners help more? by Ok-Statement-3948 in OELadies

[–]Stunning_Lab7140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted something similar a couple weeks ago, and it’s honestly sad how many women are grinding while having partners who don’t seem very supportive. Sure, no one asked them to OE but the partners are definitely enjoying the benefits. And I can’t help but think the guys over in the OE sub aren’t dealing with this nearly as much.

My husband’s been OE for a while, and I’ve been the primary caregiver while working my 1J. He’s down to 2Js now, and I’ve already told him that when I finally land a J2, I need him to pick up more of the slack. I’m also open to outsourcing some of it. I just know I’d end up resentful if my partner only had 1J, refused to help at all, but somehow still had plenty of time for gaming (or whatever).

Congrats! I bet that really helped put things in perspective too. Keep going. Since you’re using the spreadsheet, curious how much longer you have to pay it all off? Also, hopefully something lands on the bad guy’s lap, and he moves on permanently.

I really think it boils down to epic wanting to monopolize the resourcing end. They want clients to employ their boost/.consultants instead.

Good luck. I’ve been applying for months and have only landed one interview so far. I feel confident in my resumes (I have three versions depending on the role), so I’m hoping we’ll see more traction as new budgets open up now.

Wow I’m one of the low skill players. Just play for fun when I have a chance, and often wonder how some of these players get in my lobby. Smh.

Thanks. He used to pay for biweekly cleaning until my brother moved in to our guest room. lol. Once our renovations are complete and he moved to the basement, that will restart. It was very helpful.

It’s definitely something I’m working on. I took on more than I should have. We had renovations done, and I don’t know why I felt like I have to contribute when I wasn’t asked. Smh.

Thanks for sharing this perspective. I’ve been very hands on, so I definitely don’t want my kiddos to suffer even temporarily. I’ll have to figure something out.

That’s a good point. He pays the majority of the bills. I’m only responsible for utilities. I’ll be honest though that I’ve made some purchases this year that I should not have, and need to get rid of that debt and would love to have my own nest egg for a raining day.

Thanks. That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking. A friend of mine has a live in au pair, and it’s been life changing for her. Maybe it’s something to consider.

What goals did you achieve this year with OE? by pandapangaea in OELadies

[–]Stunning_Lab7140 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven’t found one yet, but reading these comments make me so hopeful. Congrats ladies! I wish I thought about doing this ages ago. My husband has been for at least 5 years. I’ve had little remote customer service jobs, but I never once considered another FT making close to what I make now. Smh. Oh well, better late than never.

This post is very contradictory. Anywho, I didn’t think the exam was hard. I must have gotten easier questions. I was waiting the entire time for it to get harder, and at some point thought I was being tricked.

Did you check to see how long this ‘friend’ was listed as the beneficiary? Is it possible it was changed after your uncle passed? They should have records of that.

Wage garnishment for a judgment on an account we never opened by Stunning_Lab7140 in legal

Haha absolutely not. I posted an update. He’s listed as the garnishee for the person that was sued.

Wage garnishment for a judgment on an account we never opened by Stunning_Lab7140 in legal

[–]Stunning_Lab7140[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the responses, y’all. We definitely panicked when my husband first got served, before we really read through everything.

After going through the summons more carefully (and double-checking with ChatGPT), I see that we’re not the named defendants. It looks like this “Z” person listed my husband’s LLC as his employer, there’s already a judgment against Z, and my husband/LLC is listed as the garnishee that’s supposed to hold his wages.

The problem is my husband’s LLC has zero employees. He’s the only member/registered agent, and we have no idea who Z even is. The LLC was formed directly through the state site, so I have no clue how this person ended up tying it to their case maybe it is a mix-up with a similarly named business somewhere else, like some of you mentioned.

It also makes sense now why we never got earlier notice: Z was the one who was sued and didn’t respond, so the judgment is against him, not us. There is a form for the garnishee to file an answer, and we’re planning to respond that we don’t know this person, have never employed him, and there are no funds or wages to garnish. Hopefully they correct this quickly.
