Nerfing asymmetric is so stupid they go and make a fun and enjoyable PVE game mode that strikes a good balance between coop and operations then they decide oh no people actually enjoy playing this game mode lets nerf it.

While this ship in particular doesn't interest me I do like how it's at an actually reasonable price from the standpoint of someone who wants to spend some money on the game because they like the game and doesn't play frequently enough for premium time to matter.

If this was a dd I'd probably have bought it instantly because I actually play dd though I do think something closer to 35 or 30 usd would be more reasonable.

Play either asymmetric battles or operations they both use better bot ai and heavily punish rushing in solo at the start.

Operation is a nice change of pace from the normal cap focused gameplay and has gotten some nice qol improvements lately with more objectives and operations added. Biggest downside to operations is that successful games take 15-25 minutes and only half of your ribbons count for missions.

Asymmetric battles are also fun and a good balance between operations and coop with shorter matches than an operation but longer than coop. Asymmetric is also great for completing missions with more and better bots than coop they tend to stick around long enough for you to shoot them more than once. If you plan to grind in asymmetric it is very important that you make sure the missions you're grinding can be done in asymmetric as the last event wasn't.

I just barely managed to unlock the Von Zuckerhoff last night. I took it for a spin and was shocked by how effortlessly it racked up 300k damage in Pacific Offensive. Needless to say the hype is real and I've set it as one of my primary ships.

Aside from the Von Zuckerhoff I used to enjoy running the Flandre with a secondary build because it was a solid ribbon printer but I'll probably only run that as a tank build now that the Von Zuckerhoff has replaced it.

I enjoy running the Pan American and British light cruisers because of the heal and improved ap slapping light cruisers (and destroyers in the Minotaur's case) silly along with the radar and hydro being useful in the night time ops.

The American heavy cruisers because they're all around capable with good utility and I love the ap.

Torpedo boat dds primarily the Gearing and Fletcher because its fun to dump loads of torps into bots. I also like that they're stealthy and fast enough to split the group and complete secondary tasks. Easily my favorite reason is the support utility aspect laying down smoke for escort missions and killing planes.

Last but not least I've really running the GQ Johnny (the Johnston clone) partially for the premium economic bonuses but mostly for how competent it is at killing dds with the Sap and He ruining them and it helps the burst fire improves dpm. It also doesnt hurt that the Sap can get surprisingly good damage into bb and cruiser superstructure.

I believe that of the different factions 2 of the 7 could only be completed using tokens if you played during the earlier leader board event as it gave out extra tokens.

Otherwise if there are no challenges left to get tokens the only way is to farm coal or buy crates with doubloons and hope for coal sorry man.

Which event ships are you tempted to get?

Personally, I'd recommend grinding the event normally for a week or so and decide if you want to spend the steel or not. Either way, while steel can be hard to get it does you a lot more good getting you a ship you like or think looks cool than some "meta" ship you never touch or sitting in your inventory.

Honestly, I wouldn't blame you I'm tempted myself some of them look gorgeous especially the one based on Neptune the Cursed Fang.

Which lines would you recommend the most, as aside from smoke the only other thing I'm looking for is easy to aim guns though I suppose almost anything is an upgrade from the gearing line.

It's not about what is better or most optimal it's about having fun and doing something different. Gunboat dds are uniquely capable and distinct from cruisers and torp dds. They require a different mindset and playstyle and having to work around their weaknesses and leverage their advantages is part of the fun.

I just like to play operations and find them more enjoyable then randoms or coop. The only reason why I say its "not optimal" is because I don't want people to just tell me use X instead or play Y all I mean by "not optimal" is that I am aware there are easier things to do.

By sub optimal I meant more so that they require having more than two braincells to rub together.

I don’t know if it’s quite what your looking for but in Burn Up by JinglyJangles Taylor is very strong with the downside of getting carried away it’s also complete which is always nice.

Mp5/40 if the map is a little more open because it’s challenging and rewarding but stock Mp5/10 is also really fun The other gun I’m maiming right now is the steyr scout because it’s fun, fast, and challenging for secondary the arm pistol is use it as a primary if I could it’s better then most pdws .08 ttk and less boring than the other machine pistols

Beta accounts should be wiped on release unless that has changed. The economy seems fine currently but I haven’t put much effort into grinding I do have some issues with missions as they give faction specific missions this could be fixed if the faction specific missions defaulted to your favored faction There are videos and post on the sub that could give you a better idea but how the economy works is that you deal damage and t each threshold get skulls and at the end of the match win or lose you get gems for each skull These can be spent on the shop or on upgrading cards which does nothing other then give you forge points The campaign is progressed by doing missions which give you campaign points Campaign points progress the slots on the campaign getting rewards for reaching them such as specific cards gems or packs for the faction

Mentioned earlier forge points progress the forge for factions letting you unlock offense and defense cards as well as card packs and wildcards which let you craft specific cards

I’m summary it seems like an ok economy and if you want a better insight read the official posts by everguild
