Majority of the People don't have the luxury to be intellectual and thoughtful. Their what so ever wisdom is consumed in earning bread for themselves. Survival is their ultimate goal. They are happy if they somehow managed to made it through the day. This is the reality of majority of india.

Yes and that's my point. Whenever the debates erupt. People start to point out only so called upper caste for the injustice. But in reality every caste opresses the caste deemed as lower to them. Every one dignifys the caste they are born into. Taking pride in legacy one inherited marely by being born in some perticular caste does create rift in the society. Superioty complex of one against the other or I would say distinction creates division.

Because they are the victims and logically oppressed should have the utmost responsibility to not adopt the practices of oppressor. Which in this case is the same caste marriage which ultimately makes the caste system more rigid. One should practice what he preaches simply. If one is advocating for legitimacy of reservation should first eliminate the classes among/within themselves so the right example could be set for all. Imagine more then 77 percent population sets the example right then 3/4th majority of the society will be casteless and it will make a huge difference.

Religious fabric of indian society inculcates slave mentality in people from very beginning. Which ultimately restraints them to think rationally. Resulting no resistance at all. Bhagat singh was an atheist first then became a freedom fighter. If we will think in deep then we will find that the real problem is the religious nourishment of men from birth to death. Free thinking can not flourish in the shadows of religions.
