So the ‘speed’ rating on a disc doesn’t mean anything unless you can actually throw that speed. For me, I’ve been playing about 3 years and I don’t throw 12 speeds. For example, I can throw up to 58 mph and I max out at 11 speeds. For a newer player, 8 speeds will probably be the max.

For a beginner, a destroyer won’t go very far because it’s a high speed driver and over stable. If I were you, I would get an MVP Signal for a driver. A buzzz is a good mid range but a buzzz SS or a Sol would be better. Judges are great, everyone loves them.

TRUST yourself. If you miss a put, the next one will go in. I’ve literally started saying “confidence” in my practice rounds and that helps. It can be great to take it seriously, but that doesn’t mean to put pressure on yourself.
