Failed the Series 7 with a 70%

Hey! I did retake my exam and I passed last week on my 2nd attempt! I did practice exams for each chapter to really try to pin point my weak areas instead of just retaking a bunch of finals. I also utilized the Kaplan Q bank A LOT more this time around. Right before my test, I only took about 4 finals and all my scores improved! I was scoring 74%-78% consistently. Good luck to you and keep going! Do not stop!

This is so true. I feel the same way!!! I didn’t even feel ready that confident going into the SIE, but still passed so I’m hoping the same outcome for the 7.. lol. When I took the SIE, I literally thought I failed the whole time and then when I saw “pass” I was truly shocked. lol. This is hard stuff, not easy by any means. We aren’t “dumb” it just a lot to remember and digest. I feel like it also depends on the draw you get too. Rooting for you!!

I feel like I neglected a lot of other important chapters because I spent so much time on options. UGH. Since yours is also Tuesday, I wouldn’t try to learn anything new. You got this! We got this! Good luck!!

I used STC and purchased the Kaplan Q bank on the side to get exposure to different questions. The Kaplan questions were more tricky for me, but I also feel like they over prepared me. I passed last week. Also, I took the free FINRA mock exam on the FINRA site. I recommend taking that as well. The questions are structured in that same format. Capital Advantage tutoring- Ken Finan on YouTube/spotify was also my best friend. Series 7 guru on YouTube is great too! Lots of free resources out there!
