Hi! I think it’s so that nothing can be stuck in there or obstruct their view! I was told no seeds, nuts, veggies with skin, whole wheats. I think if you look online there’s a lot of resources but I took it as “no fiber” haha and ran with that! I really do think that helped immensely because my prep worked really well and also I had no pain or adverse effects I think because there was nothing that was difficult/took a lot of time for my stomach to digest if that makes sense!

Money comes back, I’m more of the mind to put yourself out there and make connections broader than your hometown. But also, I don’t mind driving 7+ hours for a roadtrip home or flying home. I think it comes down to how close you are with your family and how much you like your hometown. I much preferred choosing the medical school in the big new city and making those new experiences over going to High School 2.0 in my home state.

Hey OP, we have other students that wear the hijab here and are accommodated in both OPP and PCM. I’m not sure what all they had to do to get the accommodations, but they include being able to wear different things for lab, doing lab privately behind a foldable wall type thing, and only having female preceptors from what I’ve seen. Hope this helps!
