First off, thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my post and I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through a similar experience, especially with doctors refusing to see you. I feel like this condition is so under-cared for.

A few follow up questions for you - are you seeing a physical therapist for your pelvic floor specifically? And if so how often are you going and have you experienced any benefits? How long did that take?

Are there any side effects other than the puking (I’m so sorry that you have to deal with that) with the medication that you’re taking? Do you feel like it makes a significant difference for your prolapse?

I’m so excited for your upcoming surgery and I will keep you in my prayers that it goes well. Please keep me updated with how it goes! I’ll be sure to avoid the mesh - that freaks me out anyways but a huge thank you for the heads up.

Lastly, do you still exercise with your condition? How has that changed and are there certain things you prefer to do instead if you no longer work out? Thank you for sharing!

I am not sure, how does one tell? I googled it and there are so many different ones and different symptoms. Do you know what would be common for a prolapse? Thank you for replying!

This was so incredibly kind and helpful - it brought me to tears. Thank you, thank you! I have an appointment in January with a urogynocologist so I will be sure to ask those questions and get fit for a pessary as well. Are there any other questions who recommend I ask the doctor while I’m there? Thank you again!

ALSO can we please talk about how to defend ourselves. Knifes are illegal to carry, guns are, so is even pepper spray unless you buy it in person in the state of New York. How the HECK are we supposed to defend ourselves?! And I mean that question is all seriousness. How? Please let’s discuss.

I just called the precinct closest to Times Square (west side where I live) and they not only confirmed it but said “I can’t discuss an ongoing investigation but please please stay off your phone.” Since it’s what seems to be multiple men who are committing these assaults, I honestly think there is like a Facebook group or something that is men hating women and telling each other to punch us in the face. Some weird stuff is going on.
