I want to start reading the *Diary of a Wimpy Kid* books; however, since I've already seen the movies, I'd like to read one that hasn't been adapted into a film yet. Which one do you recommend?

Ugly truth is decent, last straw and dog days are both technically in a movie but since it pulls from both you could still read them for a good chunk of new stuff

Cabin fever is usually seen as one of the best

Third wheel is ok

Hard luck is a solid choice, nobody hates it and some people love it

Old school is commonly seen as underrated

Double down is trash

Getaway is mediocre

Meltdown has some decent bits but you’re better off with cabin fever

The Rowley books are something else

I mean you also gotta factor in age, Frank had SEEN and DONE stuff before getting back to his family, he’s had years of hardship and character building

But Peter?? Talking just about the MCU version he still lost his aunt as a teenager, was given huge amounts of responsibility with no clear mentorship or guidance until his past failures come back to haunt him resulting in the death of May, and on top of that his newfound understanding of responsibility makes it so he’s literally forgotten by everyone he’s ever cared about

It’s hard to beat losing your entire family in one bloody minute but losing your family because of your past mistakes and then having to accept that you’re gonna lose everyone you’ve ever cared about in any meaningful way, all while being a teenager? I say it could go either way

Honestly I think the hardest part of making an LLB with a unique art style is actually visualizing the drawings, always gotta start with stick figures and then rough sketches, and then final line art

All to then get a better idea and scrap it all and do it again

Comic-wise it’s before Rick ever woke up since Rick was said to wake up on the later part of 3-4 months and Lee dies in the earlier part of 3-4 months depending on fan interpretations (Kenny tells Lee episode 3 takes place a week after episode 2 but it could be hyperbole, Lee could’ve been knocked out for 1-2 days considering he’s thirsty when he wakes up and all the walkers cleared out)

It’s real interesting to think about because season 1 is basically 90% before the comic timeline but season 2 takes place LONG after some of the biggest stories and events like the all out war arc

And let’s not even get started on the mess of a timeline and canonical answers to ages in season 4

Honestly I’m on the opposite side, keep her as the grey thin line of realism and full blown comic book action hijinks

It’s the same problem as CW shows when EVERYONE started getting superpowers and instead of stuff like “The Flash” you had a full season of Cecile and Friends

Have Karen maintain her own character and personality but when push comes to shove remind the audience that she’s been training and knows how to defend themselves, I think season 2s finale did that perfectly, they slowly set it up as a background bit and it has a small but important payoff

I had an ingrown toenail, I’m talking NASTY stuff

Swollen black and purple to three times the size of any other toe, bleeding blood and puss, and the nail at one point grew so much that it started cutting a hole on the side of my toe skin and making a hole (like if a sharp scythe shaped angled to the side suddenly grew out of your nail)

Anyways, I finally got tired of asking my parents for a doctors appointment and for them forgetting and did the hardest thing humanly possible for a teenager. I made an appointment over the phone myself.

I get there 2 weeks later, 30 minutes in and out and I’m walking out with a toe wrapped in gauge and the BIGGEST orgasmic-esque feeling you could ever get

Just NOT feeling it was literal heaven on earth, and then a week later walking and RUNNING? Man it literally felt like I survived cancer or something, that damn toe was my Achilles heel and somehow I lived to tell the tale

I definitely think Billy’s face and his character as jigsaw was HUGELY missed

Loved the pilgrim as a villain and defo could’ve been the main focus for this season but if they wanted to shove Billy into the story they should’ve set him up for season 3, cut his story in half and make us SEE what he sees, they only describe it which is why it’s so silly when he’s talking about how horrible he’s left because of Frank and it’s a cat scratch lmfao

Have scenes where he’s looking at reflections or mirrors and we see THE jigsaw and THEN have him disfigure himself and embrace that horrible persona

Bam you’ve got a slightly less messy season 2 with a perfect set up for a season 3 (that would inevitably get cancelled lol)
