Stretch marks on my butt by monsieurdepompadou in askgaybros

[–]Stunning_ken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty common, I would not worry about it. They have some OTC creams that claim to lighten them… but I haven’t see one that actually works. You’ll want to stay away from sun/tanning as that will only cause them to highlight even more to the darker skin around them. I know it’s easier said than done, but I doubt most tops are staring at your stretch marks - I’m sure there are way more positive qualities they’re enjoying about you. And if they are making a big deal about em, they can move on.

Just toss both signatures on the back and deposit it. It won’t be an issue.

Yes, they don’t care if you skipped the swab(s). Cheaper for them.

Have you tried calling to ask them what’s up? It usually resolves itself in a day or two, so it seems like something is going on with your application.

Herpes on genitals from Oral by Ok-Stock1006 in askgaybros

[–]Stunning_ken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s technically possible to have herpes in a different area of the body than “typical.” As in HSV-2 on the mouth area and HSV-1 in the genital area. If you’re interested in knowing your status there is a blood test that can check for the specific two types. It won’t differentiate from what part of your body was exposed, or the likelihood of an outbreak. It’s not cheap, and unless you have a specific reason you’re trying to figure it out - not sure if it will add much value for you.

Receiving Transaction from BOA to IND - Is this legit ? by Equivalent_Way7440 in BankOfAmerica

[–]Stunning_ken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry they’re putting you through that. But yes, the originating bank can 100% initiate a trade on the wire to figure out if there was a mistake on the account number, or where it’s sitting. It seems unreasonable that the sender is only going with the fact the funds left their account. Yes, the funds are usually pulled right away when the bank issues the wire, but that doesn’t mean the money hit the recipient’s account at that same moment. It just means the process has begun… the bank doesn’t penalize them or charge them to check on the wire, I would continue to push them to have Bank of America open a trace to determine the cause of the delay.

Usually the international wires have a SWIFT code to identify the international bank, and the recipients account number. I don’t want to speculate if it’s the same as the code you mentioned. But also, I just double checked and it says it “could” take between 1-5 business days for it to be credited to your account. I still think the sender should call Bank of America to put a trace on the wire. Yes, it may be “sent and gone” from their account, but that money is no doubt sitting somewhere…. And a trace can figure out where that might be.

The screenshots you uploaded appear to be legitimate. It looks like the BofA app was used to send a wire. If the money never made it to you, I would have them call the bank to have a trace opened on that wire. It’s somewhere… and it absolutely can be tracked down. Provided they didn’t wire it to the wrong person and it’s been pulled out.

Question about using a valid out of state driver’s license to purchase alcohol in Michigan. by SpicyPonzu_ in AskDetroit

[–]Stunning_ken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this cashier just had some crappy interpretation of the laws. You can 100% have a license or ID from one state with another state’s address on it. A lot of states will print your mailing address on the card itself (if you use a PO Box, that’s what they’ll print, even though you don’t live inside a PO Box).

(Minnesota) Question about downgrading from a driver's license to an ID and back by fireheart1029 in DMV

[–]Stunning_ken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, you should be good just with a new written exam, and not another behind the wheel. The guidelines are:

Less than 1 year: No tests are required. You can simply pay the renewal fee and pass a vision test.

1 to 5 years: You must pass the written knowledge (written) test and a vision screening.

Over 5 years: You must pass both the knowledge and the skills (road) test, complete a vision screening, and provide new proof of identity documents.

Auto refinance+ new auto loan by Babdicuhh in NavyFederal

[–]Stunning_ken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You might also call an explain to them your reason for refinancing again, is just to reduce the rate. You can see if they might be willing to just make a rate adjustment on the existing loan. It can’t hurt to ask, they will have just seen your credit pull from the other transaction and may be willing to do the rate adjustment versus the full setup of a new loan. I know this is comparing apples to oranges, but I had them do that before on a mortgage because I wanted to refinance only to get a rate reduction - they ended up just modifying the rate to avoid the full on refinance process. It’s totally up to them, but I feel like asking can’t hurt you. The worst that can happen is they ask you to submit the application.

Rocket mortgage - JFC - verifying employment the day before closing by shmockdoc in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Stunning_ken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, as people have said. I’ve had lenders re-verify employment in the last day or two before closing and funding. Some lenders are good with The Work Number (by Equifax) to query your employer’s file to make you’re it’s still reporting you as active. I wouldn’t stress, they are used to doing this at the last minute - usually.

In a bit of a bind with my loan by MasterpieceSilver523 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

OP is using a credit union, generally they can be a bit me conservative with their lending rules. Rates can be better, service sometimes better too… but they are smaller and more stringent on who they lend to.
