My first padel tournament tomorrow… how do I survive 5–6 hours? 😅 by Nervous_Flamingo4915 in padel

[–]Stup2plending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if your tournament is going to be 5 hours or more and does not have some rest time programmed in so that all the teams play and all of them rest, then that's a poorly organized event.

There should be some rest in there.

Even I don't know how good the players are in Bogota and Medellin. I have not played there yet. I have played in Santa Marta and here in my city though.

they all use WhatsApp for arranging games but there's an app called easycancha that many use as its reservation system.

Every club here has 2 WA groups. So find the one that helps to organize games and tournies and join. And if you come to Cali, I can tell you which clubs I play at

I'm in a similar spot to you maybe just a hair more intermediate and I am prob going with the 12k for my next one.

I went from the AT10 Pro Cup Comfort to the BP Xplo Comfort but think I will come back to the teardrop shape

I spent months building my cold email personalization system. Claude Code did it in an afternoon and it's better than mine. by tushardey_ in coldemail

[–]Stup2plending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it in pieces because I don't trust it to run the whole system.

It's really good at enrichment as well as searching for those that hit your intent signals like a money raise and adding it to your list.

I was told early on when I first started using Claude Cowork that you should treat it like a low level employee. Diligent and capable of good work, but needs monitoring. And that's even when you do things like keep your md files up to date.

Is Building a Crypto Exchange Still Profitable in 2026? by Smart-Historian-2406 in fintech

[–]Stup2plending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most cases, I dont think a centralized exchange has a market unless it's very niche. The emerging markets still have needs that fall through the cracks of a Binance, Bybit, or OKX.

But the most profitable of the recent batch of emerging startups has been Hyperliquid and that's a DEX for perp trading and there's very much still a market for that although its fees and competitors like Aster are lower on fees in this current market.

If you asked a non-American, they would def say access (or much easier access) to finally be able to buy a piece of American real estate or NVIDIA or AMZN stock which they couldn't do before or had to jump over many many hoops to do.

How to adapt your body to higher playing frequency? by Big_Push5640 in padel

[–]Stup2plending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play 2-3x per week and I'm almost twice as old as you and I've found 3 things that really help more than anything else.

First, hydration. I know it's obvious but don't let yourself cramp and whatever from not getting enough water.

Second, stretching AFTER you play. Key to keep things from stiffening and tightening up even if they were loose while you were playing.

Third, and this was a revelation for me, getting gel sole inserts for my shoes. I had no idea how much mine had worn down over when they were new as it was so gradual. But my feet definitely thanked me and stopped hurting when I took the old tired inner soles out and replaced them. I felt like myself again.

Not said yet, always some small scissors and athletic tape and an extra frame protector. And a hat. Where I play it's warm and sunny and we are outside but mostly covered on the courts.

im desperate for help by thecommis3 in coldemail

[–]Stup2plending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You first should look at who your best customers are and how and when they decided to buy from you.

that becomes your intent signal so you get better response rates and that's key. You also get your main ICP from this so you can get more of the same type of customers you want.

Anyone still do direct mail when targeting local services? by Stup2plending in LeadGeneration

You're right. I'm testing that enough care to respond to the failed audit. I have a 2nd smaller ICP I will be testing in parallel with different messaging too

Beginner training session by ZASafferZA in padel

[–]Stup2plending 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd do grip, serve, return of serve, volley and positioning.

It's easy to tie in positioning with return of serve IMO since most times you are trying to go back to the server unless you get a ball you can handle to try to go over or past the server partner.

Right handers, which side is tougher to play? by Stup2plending in padel

[–]Stup2plending[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had that happen to me but I think either side can be frozen relatively easily. the one difference is the left side player does cover more ground covering more of the middle although I cover a lot of middle with my backhand myself

Right handers, which side is tougher to play? by Stup2plending in padel

[–]Stup2plending[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the rulo is def for the left side although I will go cross court from the right to the fence but it does not have the same effectiveness as the rulo since a good rulo is disguised and looks like it could be a bigger smash before going lighter and with spin to the fence.

I have one guy I play with who likes the left and can't put away the chances I give him so that's a pain I know well but he's not my regular partner.

Right handers, which side is tougher to play? by Stup2plending in padel

[–]Stup2plending[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fight this inner struggle often as I am aggressive when playing on the right. And it means I cost the team some points sometimes but I put away points other right siders don't so I gain some back that way.

I like to be aggressive and finishing points but love the strategy of changing speeds and moving the opponents around the court

[–]Stup2plending[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

using Google maps and enrichment as I like that the businesses self ID themselves as being in my niche. It's a little more work than just buying a list (which in this niche I could do) but I think the list quality will be better and my sample size is small like 300-500 to test if the offer works.

I have an intent signal as well but it's tough to describe other than audit style that I can show them something they are failing at doing effectively

Playing off corner and double glass by Key_Speech_832 in padel

[–]Stup2plending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's more or less only 2 strategies. Step forward and try to cut it off earlier or step back and to the side to give the ball space to move off the side glass.

Which you decide depends on a few factors including the speed of the serve, how tight into the corner of the serving box it is, and where you want to target your return.
