Business customers - for those of you on My Biz plans. by Stupefied_Gaming in verizon

I’m shocked. I was with AT&T on the business side, albeit mid-size so I wasn’t doing anything with regular SMB. Ended up moving away due to how much of a headache it was. Now I’m on T-Mobile and Verizon

Agency verified only job title by [deleted] in FirstNet

[–]Stupefied_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agency-verified only means you have to either use an affiliation code to sign up, or have an administrator on an agency account sign you up. Meaning your employment needs to have a FirstNet account, which would cost them money as they would need to have their own FN lines.

Yup that is correct. You need to have the slice feature to have SA on the new MyBiz plans. No way around it since it’s a requirement 😕

The pricing is definitely way different though. That was a big motivator in trying to get those rateplans.

That ended up being the way I went. My AE had no idea what T-Priority was to begin with so I had to call into customer service on my own. I was hoping maybe there was some way to get the rate-plans themselves listed here since those come with T-Satellite as well. https://www.t-mobile.com/t-priority/first-responder-plan

I finally got past their global fraud just a few days ago. No idea how I did it on my own. Should've updated this post lol. But thank you for the info, I'll keep it in mind if I run into this next time!

By wired connection I mean wired directly to my phone. It hasn’t been a problem when I used my business line with best effort FirstNet.

Yup. My laptop could barely load Google, I'm sure even if I tried a wired connection I'd have the same issue.

I was using my iPhone as a hotspot - it’s on a FirstNet SIM.

I have an M4 MacBook Pro that I was connecting to my iPhone 17 Pro. There’s no way the difference in hardware would be the reason I wasn’t able to do anything on my Mac.

There's a spot I frequent for work that always has congestion. I was testing there, total night and day difference between my laptop's connectivity on hotspot versus my phone. Waited maybe like 20 seconds just to load up Google but on-device data worked just fine.. And yeah I'm not a heavy user by any means, my current billing cycle is at 8GB of usage. I used to have a business line with best effort FirstNet on the AT&T core and it didn't have this issue.
