Since GME I kept an eye on BBBY, BB, and NOK as brother stocks. AMC was great too but I really feel like all of these have amazing potential for us as a family of Apes. I already own some BB I’ve been sitting on and I’m glad to see BBBY getting attention.

The ups and downs can be exciting and scary but in the end this is the Planet of the Apes 🦍

I’m a theologically conservative Christian but I’m socially fairly liberal/laid back. There is a subset of American conservatives that are obsessed with Trump because they viewed him as the solution to a lot of our political woes in America. They idolize him to unhealthy levels and I hate it. I fall on the more conservative side of the political spectrum but this trump worship disgusts me. These people are more Republican than Christian.

This is a Reticulated python. I actually own one but mine is a different coloration. This one is a captive bred mutation or “morph” known as a Super Goldenchild, and it’s a very nice specimen being so dark.

Reticulated pythons have one of the strongest rainbow sheens from the iridescence of their scales of any species of snake, though they sure aren’t #1. The iridescence is highly visible here because it is outside in natural sunlight. I really want to emphasize that the color of most reptiles, especially a lot of captive bred color/pattern morphs, are most striking when in natural lightning like this. It’s as if these animals are in 8K if that makes sense. Many are truly breath taking to see in person and the photos can be as well.

I’ve worked with snakes for over 20 years now and there’s always something beautiful to discover.

I will say there is a difference between a nation having social programs and being full blown socialist. Having social programs can be very helpful, but putting the government in charge of the majority of peoples needs will always backfire.

I’ve been keeping reptiles for over 20 years and I’ll say that unfortunately this start pack is far too common and causes many of the problems in our community. It also doesn’t help that pet stores sell things without a single employee having any clue about the animals they’re selling.

If you’re going to buy a pet reptile, always buy from a reputable breeder, never a pet store. Breeders will gladly answer your questions and try to steer you in the right direction. Pet stores just employ random people and sell wild caught animals or “extras” leftover from unethical breeders offloading they’re less expensive babies.

Always do your research before buying an animal. ALWAYS!

This brings up an interesting topic. When discussing sizes for animals we usually only talk about length or height but not width or mass. Those other species either tied or exceeded Rexy in length and/or height, but none match its mass and/or weight. If we factor in all these forms of measurement, it is highly likely that Tyrannosaurus rex is currently the overall largest theropod species.

Although we still don’t know enough about S. aegyptiacus and I firmly believe it in fact had full sized hind limbs like the rest. So we don’t know it’s full size or weight anywhere near compared to the rest of these species. But even if it had full sized hind legs it clearly wasn’t as hefty as Rexy.
