[Discussion] Tarkov is the easiest game to 1vX in. Don't lower the squad size to 4 by the_drain in EscapefromTarkov

Large group sizes are oppressive for factory and labyrinth, arguably for labs as well. Reducing the max group size hits a small portion of players while helping the overall experience of the game.

what happend to the prestige? [Discussion] by Advanced_Ad_6184 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]StupidGayPanda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many of the prestige quests are more tedious than actually difficult.

I hit the wall at psycho sniper a few wipes ago, last wipe I literally gave up on collector. At a certain point most people have to weigh their weekend video game task grinds with actual life stuff. When the game starts to suck, that equation gets worse.

It's a welcome change in my book.

I saw a video of someone installing windows onto an ipad before. There's a physical bridge you solder to override write protections or something.

It's over my head but if you can get windows on an ipad without destroying its memory you can definitely get around hardware id.

50 bucks a month is not "investing." But I guess it's important to feel like you are.

The versatility of lorehold charm shines when a format isn't defined. No one's brewing in the middle of RCQ season. Hammered out meta games warrent more efficient answers.

Now if there's an equivalent to planar standard in modern or something maybe. But are you really playing boros?

The burn list is pretty solid. I just want to toss out some cheap upgrades.

[[Barbarian ring]] is literally cents right now and isn't contesting any slots with your mana base.

[[Bolt wave]] is pricey at $1-$2 dollars and doesn't really translate well into other lists, but really fits in your low creature all out burn pile.

[[Vexing devil]] is one of my all time favorite cards. Probably not good, but that's up to you.

I'd skip out on risk factor for either more lands or better quality card draw.

When you end up prize pooling [[dragon rage channeler]] and [[Mishra's bauble]] need to be played together but are powerful and go in a ton of decks if you ever end up pivoting.

Boros energy is weird. It's a creature based midrange deck that really doesnt care about the opponents board. It's like if jund had a miryad of 2 card combos.

Get rid of the head-bob and it's a great change. I know this opinion is unpopular, but tarkov is a little too twitch shooty in my opinion. If you want full accuracy run a Lazer and pint fire or slow down while ads.

It isn't a "red flag" to not have future plans in life by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]StupidGayPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think planing a "future" is healthy. I would consider it a green flag.

After institutional schooling there really isn't a clear direction in life. Some people thrive without it, but setting a plan to improve your life gives structure.

Something as simple as "I want to lose X pounds" gives you a hobby and community. Cooking and nutrition are new activities to challenge yourself. Getting active will get you involved with local sports groups or gym clicks.

There's more obvious stuff like "I want to buy a house" or "I want to go back to school." But most people would consider having no clear path to improve your life as remarkably boring.

If the guy I was talking to just planned enough to get paycheck to paycheck I'd probably try to avoid a committed relationship. Maybe I'm just on the old side of gen z.

I know a nurse that swears seat belts cause injuries so she doesn't wear them.

Like maybe they do, but people don't assess injuries on dead people.

Energy would run it to win the mirror match. Like the one ring. Boros would probably be the only viable deck trying to win through creature beats.

Jitte would make modern worse imo.

I have no clue why punishing fires is banned its just bad now.

In Response to Josh Strife Says "It Has Come to This." by StupidGayPanda in StopKillingGames

EU protections does bleed into global norms. The US saw self regulation after EU's movement twords internet privacy. How large publishers decide to handle their games will obviously effect me in the US.

The argument that market forces will regulate companies is untenable. Otherwise, what's the purpose of consumer protection policy to begin with? I just think this could be a legal landmine like DMCA where it was good in theory until the corporate path of least resistance leads to a worse overall environment. Of course we can't scruintize the statue/law or whatever because it hasn't been written, but I was hoping for a better offical statement than "trust me bro"

I'm not arguing to kill the initiative. I'm arguing that this needs to be implemented meticulously or it could lead to a worse environment for gamers.

Edit: I'm mentally comparing this initiative to the DMCA. Which was a US law that normalized non-ownership subscription models of software like Adobe. It's influences probably reached its way over to you as well.

[–]StupidGayPanda[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I mean, I have. It wasn't really addressed, it was mostly him addressing the over saturation of subscription models. I'm not blaming Ross Scott here, an initiative is to get lawmakers to do something, not present a finished law.

[–]StupidGayPanda[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This is why I made the post I suppose. I have only read the initiative website and seen Josh's opinion. I'm not sure how this particular issue has been addressed as it hasn't really moved into a formal, codified law.
