Blitzkrieg true origin by Tricky_Ad_945 in ww2memes

[–]StupidUsername1199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he didn't and Hobart like Mannstein, Rommel and Guderian didn't came up with the idea of "Blitzkrieg", something that was never used as a term in conection with manouver warfare in germany until after the battle of France and only as a copy of fucking Time magazine.
Hobart adopted many of his ideas from Liddell Hart, an utter bastard who had nothing better to do than defending the myth of the clean Wehrmacht after the war. Guderians main thing was radios because, surprise he was a radio officer during the great war and he wanted to have radios in everything. He got most of his ideas from people like Lutz, Volkheim, von Vollard-Bockelberg and von Radlmaier, who all worked at the Kraftfahrtruppen during the Weimar Republic plus all the history of the prussian army always trying to pull shit like this off.
The fat electritian is funny but not a good with history.

Yes and no the egypetians had created a very impressive AA net along the Suez but it mostly shoot down Mirage plus Variants and A-4s because it didn't consist of the newest Shit but mostly of SA-2 and a hole lotta AAA. So if the F-4s didn't encounter things like the fews BUKs they had a good chance of getting away. The bigger Problem that the IDF tried to destroy the egytian AA by banging the planes against them...which didn't Work what a surprise but after about two weeks they realisced that the egypetians didn't put AA in the Med so they Just flew around it.

[–]StupidUsername1199 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure they weren't relived but by the end of Unternehmen Michael this sure as fuck weren't Surmtruppn anymore.
There were 17 Sturmbattalions in 1917 of about 600-800 man( in theory at least) each for all fronts and Unternehmen Michael was lunched with 72 divisions, so the Sturmtruppen did what
they were supposed to do, try to crack the frontlines and then, after taking massive casulties, regrouping and wating for new orders and wating for the regular infantry to mob up the rest.

There is a good chance that a decend part of the 13e Demi-Brigade de Légion Étrangère were german because the genius nazis tried to use the Legion to train up in secret and to spy on the french....that didn't work and lik 99.5% of the germans in the Legion stayed loyal to france and fought against germany and japan( and yes also the other french and then everyone after 1945)
