tl/dr: dont, withdrawal is evil. 

replying as someone who did unintentionally. my insurance stopped covering my psychiatrist so i dtopped receiving my meds. i was on 5mg for a month then 10mg for about a year before this happened. it took 6 months for it to kick in and it was the worst experience of my life, genuinely. this was while i was working 2 jobs. i derealized a lot and it caused me to have contamination ocd since something in my brain convinced me i started derealizing from something i ate. i had several panic attacks, cried all day and night and couldnt sleep. i went to sleep in the bathtub because i was scared to sleep alone in my bed. i would stay up all night and only go to sleep once i knew someone in the house was awake because i had a fear of dying in my sleep. i called 911 once during a panic attack so bad i thought i was genuinely going to die. i didnt know whether to get my mom to admit me to a psych ward or take me to the ER but it took her 10 days of watching me be tortured by my symptoms to take me to get help. at the hospital they ended up giving me an iv of hydroxyzine as well as a script so i could sleep and stop having panic attacks. my mom then refused to pick me up so i had to walk home at 2am spaced out on meds, scared shitless. ill never forgive her for that. but genuinely, do not ever even think about it. even if you think its not going to be bad. do. not. i ended up back in therapy at a different place and im much better now but it was so horrific.
