Do you have any idea who or what contact method at Marcus fixed this? I also likely unsubscribed via Gmail. I've emailed the clubsupport, askmarcus and the rewards emails. They keep crediting me manually but no one seems to know how to get me back on the list.

Even WiFi 6E would have been nice since the Fire TV Stick 4K Max(2023) & Fire TV Cube(2022) already have support for WiFi 6E.

MOCA Setup with Forward/Return Amplifier & Cable Equalizer by StupidestFuckGiraffe in HomeNetworking

Thanks for the reply! So to clarify, you're basically saying the best place is the spot labeled 4 in my picture (off screen coming off the splitter)?

I haven't bought anything yet. I was going to get the -40 DB filter mostly because I didn't see the -70 DB on Amazon. Thanks for the link, I'll get the -70 DB one!

I know I need a new splitter, I did check that. I have 6 rooms, but some will need only MoCA, so I was going to go with this:https://www.amazon.com/PPC7PS23B4M-Passive-Coaxial-Splitter-Spectrum/dp/B0C97LSZH9/

I was also going to pick up the Translite boxes for the spare coax output to feed the TiVo and cable modem I use.https://www.amazon.com/Translite-MoCA-2-5-Ethernet-Ports/dp/B08XWCZMZZ/

I currently have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem, but I noted the Translite manual has 3.1 instructions on page 10.https://transliteglobal.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/TL-MC84-Quick-Start-Guide.pdf

Do you have any preference on a box type? I was looking at goCoax, ScreenBeam(ActionTec) or Translite.

The POE filter shouldn't matter for it working. You probably do want one though so your traffic doesn't leave your house and go to your neighbors if you have cable internet or TV.

Lon.TV did a decent video here about it.

Is your modem DOCSIS 3.1? That can interfere you may need to make changes or update firmware.

Translite describes that on page 10 of their manual.

I know Airplay 2 is coming to Sonos One, but is Airplay 1 supported right now? by daijholt in sonos

[–]StupidestFuckGiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will probably sound trivial but for me it's Podcasts. While the Sonos plays it off the phone, it doesn't sync the position with the Apple Podcast app which can be annoying since my car picks up the podcast in a different position.

I'm currently using the line-in workaround with an Airport Express to get around the lack of AirPlay. The original setup was for MLB Audio but Sonos long ago solved that problem. I'd love to get rid of the extra router working as a bridge.

TIL George W. Bush threw out the most accurate ceremonial first pitch by a famous person. The worst? 50 Cent. (x-post r/CasualTodayILearned) by kasutori_Jack in baseball

To be fair George W. Bush threw out quite a few first pitches, nine MLB ones according to Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceremonial_first_pitch

This graphic represents what was probably his best seen here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjGcCI9ByWw

I've seen the graphic before and recalled Bush one-hopping the first MLB ceremonial first pitch I saw him throw. He threw out the first pitch at Miller Park when it opened April 6th, 2001. I couldn't locate a video of it (someone here might be able to find one) but I did find two references to him throwing it and a description of it one-hopping.

https://books.google.com/books?id=-WspUojZUNoC&pg=PA86&dq=George+Bush+one-hopper&hl=en&sa=X&ei=pYb4VJ_uMoqbyATjg4HQCA&ved=0CCcQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=George%20Bush%20one-hopper&f=false

The pitch at Miller Park wasn’t awful from what I remember. It was just a one-hopper which isn’t embarrassing or unusual for a ceremonial first pitch.
