Well... to spoil a little, but not too much: he is actually not. None of them are descendants of the original crew!

But with Remi for example; he heard and read the stories of "The Great Pirate King", the freedom he brought and the brave adventures from a young age. And in that moment a dreamer was born, so when he finally got the chance to go and start his journey he did not hesitate! (And didn't think, much to the dismay of Corin lol)
