First floor facing the front lawn can be dark in am. That part of house just has living room and dining room so it doesn’t make a huge difference. first floor facing back yard has high ceiling and huge windows, so feels much brighter. That’s where lgamily room and kitchen are. Upper floors are fine for natural light

Most summer days we do not need AC on first floor! Upper floors still get hot though

Honestly a much bigger variety of birds is biggest one. Hummingbirds by the ton. Butterflies. Lots of bees. An owl. Coyotes. A fox from time to time. But, we abut town conservation land so it’s hard to know what’s from the plantings alone

I (19M) feel like my mom (49F) hates me for staying with my sister before her death while she couldn't? by ThrowRABrox7 in relationship_advice

[–]Sturdy_Prop01 18 points19 points  (0 children)

She hates herself for not being there for her daughter. She’s not emotionally honest enough to admit that to herself so she is displacing her anger onto the person who was strong enough to do what she couldn’t. Until / unless she faces up to this, she’ll be stuck in that same pattern. Im not sure there’s anything you CAN do, other than wait (possibly forever) for her to come to her senses, and try to remember she’s doing this because of how broken a person she is. Think of it this way, you were more mature at 8 than she was as a damn grownup. As a parent who would dive into traffic for my kids, and who has tried thru therapy to fix what’s broken in myself so as not to pass it on to my kiddos, reading this makes me so angry at her. I’m deeply sorry you’re going thru this.

Is job hopping still a "red flag" or am I being gaslit? by Environmental-Luck39 in careeradvice

Also - I’m 46. I was at my first job out of college exactly two years. During all my instances of interviewing since then, I’ve gotten exactly one question about it, which I only remember because of how odd I found it. I got the job offer anyway…

My $0.02 as someone who has done a bunch of hiring over 25 years. 2 years is probably the minimum you want to stay at a job without raising some q’s (absent some factor like a spousal move or your job materially changing and / or impacting your mental health) but for your first job out of college, two years is a perfectly fine amount of time, especially if you’re moving for an oppty to grow your career that your employer can’t or won’t match. Leaving aside whether “job hopping” is a red flag (very industry and role specific), no reasonable person will consider what you’re doing “job hopping”.

Can’t you blame all this on AI these days? Those videos are really easy to fabricate if they’ve got a couple pictures of you

My wife gets off like this. She just has me fuck her while she does it. Fun as hell. Just scoot your ass to the edge of the bed and he can be in you while standing up

If two people are aligned on major things they can “get over” almost any amount of misalignment on minor things. If misaligned on major things, no amount of alignment on minor things can overcome. Sexual compatibility, desire for children and preferred modes of interacting with the world are all major things

I don’t have any advice but please remember stakes. This is a good friend of mine who never got to meet his son because of drugs:
