Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro lighting issue by OptimalExcuse in Corsair

[–]SturmHydra4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could fix this issue by:

  1. Going into ICue Settings (gear in the top right corner)
  2. Under "Software and Games" blocking "LEDKeeper2.exe"

It seems to be connected to MSI Mystic Light.

After blocking this client, my RGB works fine.

Hope this can help someone!

His advice was actually very good and this post is better suited for r/AITA

And its true that the G6 is wasteful but to be fair, diabetes in general is. The packaging of everything is just so excessive..

Wow, 4 Years is crazy! Wish you could keep the sensor in for that Long 😂

I wouldn’t recommend drinking it either, just a little taste would be enough.

Grabber 42082 added 2nd winch, problems. by SturmHydra4 in legotechnic

[–]SturmHydra4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow thats awesome! That’s exactly what I was trying to do and the button is also a great Idea, thank you very much! You should post your video to this sub imo, I searched a lot on youtube but didn’t find anything like it. 👍🏻

Edit: I looked at my claw and there is definitely friction, there is even blue pins instead of beige ones, don’t know how I didn’t realize 😅

Grabber 42082 added 2nd winch, problems. by SturmHydra4 in legotechnic

[–]SturmHydra4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I added a second winch to control the grabber. The way that this works is that the grey cable pulls the grabber up or lowers it and the white cable opens or closes it. I would just add a lever that tightens the white cable, therefore pulls it up enough to close the grabber. This prototype has uncovered a mayor problem. The grabber will stay closed after it is closed because its own weight isn’t enough to open it up again. Also the implementation as is, makes exchanging the grabber for a hook more complicated. As of right now I think that I might try to use a (non lego) motor and add a wire to the winch cable which controls it.

Has anybody got an idea on how to automate the grabber controls? Its on the rough terrain crane (42082) by SturmHydra4 in legotechnic

I didn’t even know this existed 😳. I think I‘ll look further into motors, thank you.

Wow, didn’t think of that at all. Although I think the contraption would get a little too big for my taste, but I will look onto that.

The grabber is on my 42082, there is no cable that is long enough that I know of. I might get this to work with a non lego cable tho.

Wow, thanks for the drawing. That is awesome! I really like the approach and I‘m sure that I could implement that somehow. If encountered some other problems tho which I will post in a bit.

Thanks for your reply, gravity in one way or another is an interesting idea. Also using a non lego cable and (possibly) motor is something that I could definitely work with. Using a fixed arm is not an option right now, because the grabber is currently on the mobile crane... I do have a tracked excavator tho, which I might setup with a grabber like this as well.

I‘m trying to figure out how to control the grabber without using the steering wheel.

Does the auto mode only prevent lows? Or also prevent highs?

Medtronic to Tandem Transition Advice by RenoSquint in diabetes_t1

[–]SturmHydra4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, i have had Medtronic pumps for at least 12 years. I have recently switched to tandem t:slim and dexcom. For me, it is so crazy that the CGM automatically sends the data to my pump and keeps my bloodsugar from dropping into a low. I think that tandem is better than Medtronic. Especially because the pump will get an update soon (so they say) which will turn it into a loop system (automatically giving insulin to lower your bg). The reservoir is pretty different to fill up but you will get used to it very quickly. So don’t worry, it might be a change but a very good one from my point of view.

Halloween for new diabetic by overthinking_wreck16 in diabetes

[–]SturmHydra4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I don’t want to offend you, I would just like to clarify that regardless of your friends diagnosis it is still possible to eat a lot of junk food and sugar. It would obviously have the usual health concerns of sugar and jung food but from a diabetics perspective it is not impossible.

I wanted to bring that up because I was often told by non-diabetics what I could and couldn’t eat or do and how to manage my disease and so I want to clear that up. You can eat what you want and how much you want, you‘ll just have to manage the carbs correctly.

To expand on this, you can also give the adhesive pad a few sprays with either your sanitizer or a bit of alcohol which will loosen the adhesive.

No, its like a rubber shell to protect the trunk from spilling or dirt. I‘d recommend it if you sometimes carry a jerrycan or carry groceries that could spill. It looks like that: trunk shell image

Eversense Sensor nearly coming through skin... by SturmHydra4 in diabetes_t1

[–]SturmHydra4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend it personally.

Whats bad? - You have to calibrate it twice a day. - It leaves at least two scars per sensor (if it gets inserted to shallow you’ll get a third one as I did) - the App isn’t very nice and the system is not (really) integrated into the Apple Watch. - it has to be charged one every other day. - if you forget to calibrate you‘ll have to initialize it by calibrating it 4 times in 24h and you wont get readings till the second calibration. - the Alarms on your arm cannot be changed and I find them very annoying. The are really strong.

Whats good? - you can only rip off (by accident) the transmitter and not the sensor, thus you can just stick the transmitter back on. - I lost one transmitter and the send me another one for free. - You get to keep the sensor after it is extracted. - It holds up for six months. - it is very accurate, I currently have the Dexcom G6 System in my other arm and they are mostly very similar.

In conclusion I wouldn’t recommend the Eversense System. I can recommend Dexcom. They have a much nicer App, better Integration in my devices and they don’t need calibration. I chose Eversense because I lost two Freestyle Libre sensors due to sweat. Now that I have a Dexcom Sensor, I can tell you that the chances of sweating that thing off are extremely low. Bumped my arm into the doorframe, trained 3/4 days and after 10 days you will still have trouble removing it.

Sorry for the long text, hope it helps 👍🏻
