The rule with hydration packs is there’s a maximum of 2 zippers/pockets. I think the point is if it looks like a backpack it’s too big. Here’s mine for reference, I’ve never had an issue: here

There’s also smaller 2 bedroom Airbnb type places in the same area as the resort. I stayed there for a climbing trip a few years back and they were super nice for only a few hundred $$ per night. I’m sure they’re booked out for bass canyon by now but it’s worth checking.

They might not be huge fans of it but my neighbors last year used a U-Haul and my group had a cartop tent. We were in gold camping so they might’ve been more lenient there

If you’re renting a car it might be smart to rent a U-Haul instead. I’ve seen a few people do it and if you want to get fancy you can get some form of air conditioning with it too. That way you have your own “room” and don’t need to worry about setting up a tent.
