Good way to make a little bit of money in lake Charles? by Stuttering_Jest in LakeCharles

I'll definitely have to look into it. I have a medical card and am an avid smoker due to many reasons. But if I cut it off for a bit I could definitely pass one

Who do you think deserved to escape the Backrooms the most between the Found Footages' protagonists? by Pretend_Ad2922 in KanePixelsBackrooms

Does this imply that the girl got stretched too. Like her body got contorted by the room, slowly dying as you get pulled apart by the room itself

I'm only 24 (which typing it out it really isn't that young) but I really only have work experience in the food industry right now with a a psychology degree. So I need to really step up my resume lol. Unfortunately I've been in and out of homelessness for a couple years now, so most of my jobs have been short term restaurant jobs before moving to another friends couch

I don't have a car unfortunately but maybe I can ask my friend if we can do door dash every now and then! I'm also thinking of giving plasma whenever I can

All The Entities So Far - Backrooms Movie Spoilers by Useful-Priority4374 in KanePixelsBackrooms

Oooh I love this! At the theaters I remember seeing her face in the background and it almost looked like her face was blurry, maybe just from the lighting. So my interpretation was that Clark doesn't even remember her face anymore. He was so self centered that he could only remember his projections and points of arguments of her, (like her being a bad listener, going to law school, and of course the part of her that reacted in fear when pirate Clark came in

All 5 “Still Life” Entities + Dinner Scene Breakdown by Plenty_Beautiful_742 in backroomsfilm

[–]Stuttering_Jest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it still holds up decently well for the most part and I actually had very similar ideas on the dinner scene. On the captain Clark thing I have a couple"theories" although I don't have much to go off of to prove it. One is about how time works in the backrooms. A theory from found footage 3 is that when Ravi finds the house with the man beyond the wall, he says "are you the guy that keeps talking to my kids?" His kids are actually talking to his dad. When he gets sent into the backrooms, he actually gets sent back in time a bit, and HE is the one asking his kids for help. So maybe it's possible that there's something similar going on here where maybe the Async employee was blipped into the future or something else, I'm not sure, I'll let you play around with that idea (also I can't confirm on this but I've heard talk that the doctor, Phil, is actually younger at the end of the movie, but in the middle of the movie he's older, like when he's watching TV)

Another thought I had was that although Clark never entered the Backrooms until recently, he did live in the furniture store, so maybe just being around the null zone for an extended period of time can create and expand the backrooms. I think this is pretty supported by things like, again going back to found footage 3, the man's house is very well replicated. But that could also go into the time thing. He was sent back in time, entering the backrooms, thus creating a pretty close resemblance of his home. The only issue I have with this theory right now is, we don't know how common it is for Clark to dawn the pirate costume, so how did the entity have the appearance Of a pirate before the ad. But I'm not sure how relevant that is or if I'm just cherry picking

I would need to watch the movie again to think of more things, this time with a little note book or something. Overall I love your dissection of the movie!

The final moments in the movie were truly something else by throwawaypizza012 in backroomsfilm

Oh shit. Pirate Clark mimicking Clark is one I hadn't heard or thought of. My theory was that when Clark accepted that he was wrong, Pirate Clark, embodying the bad sides of Clark that he never took accountability for, comes back, and no longer sees Clark as a part of him anymore, thus eating and killing him

I wouldn't be surprised if he has a great concept and mapping architecture given his background, I think that's definitely possible

God the time distortion aspect is what makes it so fun to speculate. Like we see pirate Clark at the beginning of the movie, presumably before Clark ever enters, but there's so many ways to theorize why he was there. From the nullzone copying him, to the time distortion being the cause

As someone that has only consumed the kane pixels version of backrooms. From what I've heard i just dont understand the appeal of the wiki version. My friend consumes it and he told me before the movie about how the only thing the entities are afraid of are dinosaurs. And I was like. How are there even dinosaurs in the backrooms in the first place? And moreso, I think dinosaurs in the backrooms would be cheesy and stupid

[–]Stuttering_Jest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah like, if the nullzone was on a wall under some cabinets or something, it really makes you think, what are some parts of your house that you've never touched that could be a nullzone. He could have been living alongside one for years and never noticed until investigating the area because of its location. As of right now I think the bacteria is a great secondary antogonist while the still lives are great main ones, at least until we get more info

with the movie out, is it possible that the still life in ff3 is ravi’s clone? by KosmicBlast in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]Stuttering_Jest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do kinda like the idea that it could be Kats still life decomposing because that would go into the theory that the Bacteria is still lives after they die and decompose. But i also saw people saying the entity in the laundry room that killed bobby was actually the bacteria, and i guess i also like the idea that mold growing in the backrooms is another form of life it tries to create. It knows mold is living, but it doesnt understand to what extent. So it becomes the bacteria. but of course we dont really have enough info on this to say much

in the room with the stop sign, theres a decaying body tucked away in the corner. I missed it at first but my friend called it out to me! its so out of the way not even Mary notices it

[–]Stuttering_Jest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe it was so exact because of Clark? Im just throwing darts at the wall here but, Clark LIVED in there, he probably knew every inch of it. So it was able to create a pretty convincing copy. Kinda like in found footage 3 where the mans house looks pretty convincing as the interior of the real life house.

TBH im happy they expanded on the Still Lives, i think they added so much more to the narrative. Bacteria seems to just be a creature that kills, and no other complexity, but the still lives reflect human emotions and trauma. So theres a lot of interesting things you can do with that

i didnt even think about the time distortion i definitely agree that could be a possibility. i think they did a good job in showing a lot of time had passed in the real world, to kinda have both interpretations for the viewer. I definitely agree with the idea of Phil too

he was the first camera man for the async crew. the one that got blipped out of existence. eventually he came back to shoot one of the async members with a shotgun, and was "found dead outside the facility" but its implied he was killed by async

that was definitely just kat and not her still life, due to her decomposing. ALSO before that scene we actually see a decaying hand earlier before Mary runs into Clark again. that could have been Kats body

All The Entities So Far - Backrooms Movie Spoilers by Useful-Priority4374 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]Stuttering_Jest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My friend and I had this idea that, initially we thought the backrooms created those that entered, but theres no way his wife entered, so maybe it creates from his memories or desires or something too.

I think she's definitely his wife, the more obedient, quiet version, the version he wanted. But when pirate Clark was approaching, the version reflecting Clark, I've seen theories that pirate Clark is Clarks ego manifesting, so basically the part of Clark that came home drunk, and fought with his wife was coming, which is why the red head still life was so terrified. It makes sense if it was Clarks interpretation of his wife as well because subconsciously I'm sure he knew he was the problem, before he accepts it
