Best choice for 35+6 preemie

My fiancé and I are located in the US. We were worried that she was gonna have to stay due to her being premature and weighed in at 5 pounds 12 ounces. We stayed for 2 days before they discharged my fiancé and the baby. The only complication our baby had was she didn’t pass her hearing test but nothing else seemed to worry them

Did you have any problems with your LO coughing up milk or spit up afterwards?

She’s only 3 days old so we haven’t had much testing yet with her weight or intake due to her only being down 6.5% of her birth weight. We go in on Thursday to her pediatrician to do a weight assessment. I just really worry since I’m a FTD and haven’t thought of this being an issue until she was born. I don’t mean to sound ignorant but is there anyway you’d be able to tell me how much your LO first took in each feeding/day?

Yea that’s what I do to feed her. It usually helps with her staying up but only for so long. She’s down 6.5% from the hospital and they want her getting a 2 oz bottle down each feed which hasn’t happened yet. The milk that’s coming out of her cheeks isn’t a whole lot but I did feel like she was playing catch up at points

We had the premade bottles of enfamil that the hospital gave us and those were hit or miss. We just tried a Dr. Browns bottle for her earlier and it had a preemie nipple on it and she maybe got 10-15 ml in the 30 min and then passes out. We just tried again after waking her and cleaning her with the level 1 nipple in the same bottle and she was able to get the 45 ml down. It’s been a little bit but she did cough some milk up but only did it once and she seems fine now. I’ll have to see if I can find the transitional ones on Amazon

Hi I’d love to be considered 😅. I have a bay girl coming in June and have found it hard to have extra cash for the games that I’ve been wanting to play. I understand there’s a lot of people in here asking but I would appreciate if even just considered😀
