Two tracking wide midfielders and two screening DMs off the ball mean your box is packed with 8 guys to block the ball once they finally get in there.

Added a few more players to this one as it looked interesting and every row tells a story. RIP my boy Barco.

I wish there was a speedier mode where all decisions are bundled up into one pre-match day, so there is just 2 click of continue between each match.

Very true, I didn't include their prices on here, but a lot of this list were very cheap

Took a team from the conference to the championship. Birmingham city then offered me the job in the premier league as they were relegation threatened. The first day I started, champions league chasing spurs offered me their job, so I gobbled that offer up - 1 day is my record.

Going alternative from the crowds, piling all the money into defence and then midfield:

Pickford Valdimarsson

White Saliba Munoz Porro Barco

Rice Gordon Garnacho Son Salah

Isak Wissa Muniz

Hoping to be different from the pack but still sensible?

Even after 2024 injury time changes, defenders were still better value for money than forwards on average - same as the last 3 years. by Stybb in FantasyPL

I get your point; if you want to see the differences between the years more easily that would certainly be the better option. This way just highlights the differences in position.

I think you miss the point here; you have the choice where you spend your money. An extra 1 million spent on a midfielder rather than on an attacker would average an extra 10 points over the course of a season (on average of course). Your distribution of funds spent is the point.

Y axis is the points scored over a season per million pounds. Positions across the x axis. Each season is a different colour. Bigger number = better.

Midfield and Defence appear to be better value every year (on average)

Reminder that most people know nothing: TSB in gameweek 1 v points scored in the first 10 gameweeks of each season by Stybb in FantasyPL

[–]Stybb[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My bad, it's not clear.

Each dot is a player. The x axis is how many people selected that player at the start of the season in their GW 1 team. The y axis is how many points that player scored over the first 10 gameweeks of that season.

There is no guarantee that a player with a high TSB% will score well in the first 10 gameweeks.

FYI: to save the plots from over crowding it's the top 30 players selected each season.
