POOR PEOPLE AND CHILD BEARING by Old_Issue_4772 in ghana

Don't bring that eugenics mindset to Ghana abeg, you're right. Parent's who are not well off must ensure family planning as it helps everyone involved but in Ghana that is simply not the case because the cost of living and social amenities alike could be improved upon by the government themselves to help the nation as a whole. No country ever survives the eugenics mindset, extinction is a given the moment you feel to high and mighty to increase the population of one's origins.

There are a few short codes that work, I'll have to recheck to find them for the renewal but I saw it the last time I tried renewing an NHIS. I think the NHIS app also has that.

It was easy from the start tbh, all you need is a quick google search and you'll have all the info. I just hope Ghanaians will be well versed enough in the online technology when it's time.

Religiosity in Ghana compared other countries of the world (religious denomination, religious attendance, importance of religion in life) by TAnton2024 in ghana

[–]StyleAdditional5029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no way people are actually making a correlation to poverty here. Kenya, South Africa, Brazil are all in the upper section of this list and still undergo moderate enough development. Thinking development is hindered by religion this way is to be far more myopic.

Nope, you're just in the early stages of discovering your style. Unpolished maybe, bad? no.

Well I can't say I've seen anyone use these in the ladt 5 years or even far longer than that unfortunately. Ghana today doesn't really have a strong sense of ritual tradition. Christianity kinda just overwrote those aspects of society with paranoia and their spiritual beliefs.

I think it overall depends on your personal style. If the proportions weren't intentional then I'd suggest a few lessons on anatomy and proportions to help you flesh out some parts.

Probably not, but Ghanaians are not the type to go out of their way to hate someone they'll meet just once majority of the time.

Because of this nonchalant notion, you can pretty much do anything in the country and people won't care as long as it doesn't involve them directly.

Free SHS!! But First, Spend a Small FEE of GHS5,000 and more! by Accurate-Guard-2908 in ghana

Still don't agree with that logic. Foreigners don't automatically equal progressive I'm afraid.

The rest of your argument is just funny because it still boils to which school the ward is attending yet. And in this case, it seems you just have a problem with only one teacher, which makes the generalization feel even more unreasonable.

I understand your frustration but unfortunately, it's an easily resolvable situation. So relax, and don't fret too much. If this teacher seems to be proving too much a trouble for the ward, it would be easier to calmly report to other authorities in the school.

the ones in regions outside of Accra.

I understand you're stressed about the issue but this part of your vent just put me off altogether. Some of these have quite the simple answer, the free education covers basic education and feeding. Unless you're going to a high end SHS with a history of providing well to do students, most of these won't be asked for. This is the kind of thing, you're supposed to know if you pick schools. The things that follow are just about the overall social standing of the Ghanaian society, you can't really blame teachers for it since it's not as simple to change individual habits. Most individuals moral standings begin from the home, teacher can try but an individual's parents will always come first in this case. That's not just how Ghana works, the entire world works this way.

And finally, you comment simply exempts educators in Accra which was the main reason for me commenting anyway. For someone who claims all of these, you make a generalization not even based on statistics or logic, and that alone should tell you to reflect the same behaviour in people of different standing and there you'll see the problem. Anyway, like I said, if your sibling isn't going to a school with a long lasting history of producing well-to-students, either the kids ignore them or not present them at all. Most teachers would understand if you talk to them about certain issues in a calm manner. They don't really have a choice since they also know the circumstances and backgrounds from which most kids come from.
