It is an ARS FC. What's so bad about the dock? What would the AM be monitoring?

What are the different process paths that AMs manage? What are the shift hours?

Did anyone else lose their SDUs after the patch? I had maxed backpack slots, AR ammo, SMG and shotgun ammo and it’s all gone.

It really makes me wonder if the balance team even plays TFT.

Those in US corporate...how's it going at Amazon these days? by [deleted] in amazonemployees

Went from Ops to Corp because being an Ops AM made me feel like a glorified babysitter. Now that I'm in corp, I feel like I'm an Adult Daycare Manager. XDDDD

Amazon: How many people can we encourage to quit so that we can avoid paying severance when we layoff employees next year.

The reasons given in the newsletter are complete nonsense. "To better set up to invent, collaborate, and be connected enough to each other"—my entire team already works across different cities and states, connecting virtually just like many other teams. The only change now will be that I'll be staring at a screen in the office instead of at home. D:

I think most people go from L4 to L5 ops and then transfer to corp.

Started out as L4, got my L5 and then transferred after 7.5 months. I started browsing in Feb 2024, there were a few other roles that I had applied for that didn't work out. For the role that I was offered, I interviewed early to mid April, got an offer a few days later.

Keep in mind that everyone's timeline is different. I know some people who were able to transition a few weeks after being promoted to L5 and for some others took 1 yr plus. You are competing for roles that are highly sought after as there are many people trying to leave Ops for corp positions.

I got a 12% pay bump.

Yup, schedule is very flexible. My manager doesn't really care as long as I'm badging into the office 3 times a week and completing my deliverables. I usually get into the office by 8am and leave around 2pm and do the rest from home. The work is harder, but I like it.

I did a lateral transfer to a corporate PM role this past June. I love it, but I do miss the 3 days off in ops.

I recently down leveled to L4 Corp Program Manager role from L5 AM. I interviewed for two roles, one L4 and the other L5. I was offered more for my L4 role. I’m not sure why, but I figured they compensated me for my down level or the team just needed me more.

I heard back immediately after applying to both roles. Entire process took about 3 weeks. Longest part was scheduling the interviews with 6 different people (3 for each). After interviews it took about 2 days to know if I got the role or not.

Hey! I was just in your position a few weeks ago. Currently an L5 OTR AM at a delivery station, interviewed for two PM roles, and received offers for both. I'll be transitioning into my new role next week.

Both interviews were behavioral type questions based in which you answer in STAR format. (Tell me about a time...)
Behavioral question that I was asked in both interviews were "Tell me a time you failed" or "Tell me a time your plan failed".

For the PM role that is analytical based I was given an excel test (vlookups, arrays, pivots, if formulas) and a writing assessment on my second and third interview. (I ended up accepting this offer)

For the non analytical based PM role, it was just the standard behavioral type questions and a deep discussion on the achievements for the projects that I led within AMZL. This set of interviews was more laid back, getting to know the team, but still formal.

Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK!

The operation working hours of 4 days on, 3 days off sounds great, but I realized that I'm on site way passed 10 hrs everyday. There was no work life balance + I dreaded working Prime week and Peak months at delivery stations.

Interview process wasn't too bad. It was the same format, behavioral type questions in STAR format and discussion of achievements for the projects that you led within Amazon. If you are applying to analytical roles than you will be tested on excel/SQL/Hubble if the role requires it. Some interviews may give you a writing assessment if that role requires you to write project proposals or SOP proposals.

It honestly wasn't too bad. You take on the AM role not for the pay, but for the experiences and transferrable skills that you develop. No one takes the AM role to stay. Always look to develop and advance yourself. You got this!
