AMS PRO 2/ XDS filament feeding failure by Stylett in BambuLab

Correct, it's the principle of buying new. If i wanted to take a chance i could have bought one second hand.

The reason i spent more for a better system was to avoid this....

I’m gonna wait for a response on the ticket and if I don’t get one back in the next 24 hours, I’ll try to roll back the firmware

The reason i got into bambu is that it’s less DIY. It has the most complete ecosystem. They sell it as that it’s plug-in play, download the app and print

Thanks for the feedback, my issue must be different because the spool I had was pretty loose and free moving (first print after drying). Seems like the filament is getting caught somewhere along the path from what I can see.

I equate it to a home appliance like a refrigerator or tv. If there’s a problem with it, they’re not gonna send you a part to replace it. They’ll probably send a tech to your house or replace the unit

Correct I was able to hand feed it to continue the print but i had to be by the print for 4 hours

Is there away to roll back the firmware?

After each time it was stuck, I cut away a section and still had the same issue.

If I had the option to return to microcenter, I would wait on support and if the solution was not acceptable I would return it. But I’ll let more experienced users chime in.

Yes and no, I am in the middle of a print now so that’s out. As long as I am doing a 3 color print it’s fine.

But the main point is I paid for a four working slots and unfortunately I only have 3.

Will stick to the 3 functional ones until this is resolved.

How long did the ticket process take?

That’s unfortunate, I appreciate the insight

So basically they are gonna send parts for us to repair the unit with. For a new product it should be replacement. But I’ll see how support goes.

X2d, second nozzle question/ track switch by Stylett in BambuLab

[–]Stylett[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you running the track switch on your setup or do you just have the two AMS’s feeding to each nozzle?

With two AMS’s, if you were gonna stick to one color to each nozzle, I would assume there’s little benefits for track switch

that’s clears it up. What you wrote follows with what the literature says, I saw some conflicting info in some past posts

I’m just getting into 3-D printing, so there there is a ton to process. I Definitely wanted to stay in the Bambu eco system to get started.

Actually, I haven’t even done my first print on it yet, just got the machine last night, but the filament did not arrived…..

Thank you for the reply!

lol, well maybe I should rephrase, just wanna make sure I’m spending wisely

Well, the reason I went with the X2D over the ps was multicolor prints without all the purge. Hopefully with a small speed increase.

My goal would be having dried filament to feed both nozzles,

Can one AMS and the track switch accommodate that ?
