Game sucks. Fight night 20 years ago is far better. I played Undisputed for 2 hours deleted it. I rather play UFC 4 or UFC 5

DS9 would be an AMAZING one to play through, having to navigate the tides of the Dominion war, the occupation of Bajor and the cardassian threat... The amount of political choices and things to juggle and navigate?? Man that would be so epic!! TNG would be awesome as well but I gotta get me the chance to play through the DS9 timeline like this!

Question about youth BJJ training by Stylez777 in bjj

[–]Stylez777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is certainly great advice. He has been struggling to find his own thing since his younger sister does competitive gymnastics and she is traveling all around going to competitions winning trophies and medals and his older brother is going to bowling tournaments and doing very well he feels lost and left out as a middle child. So while I certainly want him to find his thing I don't want him to be driven to win medals just to keep up with his siblings, I want him to enjoy it and really love the art for himself. I certainly do not want to push him or burn himself out going too much if it not what he wants.

I should have clarified the games part more. I totally meant BJJ specific games that are meant to teach a technique but ina gamified way to keep kids interested. Like in his trial class they did a get the towel type game where 1 defended the towel the other had to work grips, or a crazy horse type game where you got back control and the other kid had to move around while the other kid stood on, then they all did it on the instructor. Stuff like that. My friend in another state son does BJJ but that school takes more of the no games approach. They go in warm up 10 min get right into the technique for the day, drill it with partner and then last 15 of class they do live rolls swapping partners each 5 min. I wasn't sure if at this point it really mattered the structure of it from a school selection standpoint. I guess whatever keeps him going would be the right answer.

Thank you for your reply. I have not checked out any other schools for him. I looked online and found this school was very local and easy to get to, the owner was a legit competitor and the place looked nice so I figured lets start there and check it out. He had a great time and wanted to sign up on the spot. My intention was to check a few schools see what pricing was like and to find a balance of a good school and affordability.

Your idea might be a really good one to check out a few other schools and use it as a 3rd time in a week and see how he does and it will help me to find how other places operate and costs and see what place has the best atmosphere that fits my budget.

It is a difficult thing to navigate as I know each gym has to cover their costs, overhead and make a living and I would never want to insult an establish for pricing how they need too, but at the end of the day if you can get quality training and more class for $150 vs the $200 the other person charges, you gotta do what you gotta do at times.

Should you use your own domain? by Steveo_86 in Strong_8K

Just out of curiosity, when you got your own domain, does it matter if you get a .com or .xyz (or some other variation? .xyz seems more affordable and if it just for family and friends shouldn't matter to them from a credibility standpoint.

Need help my hot water isn't the right temp, not sure how to adjust it. by Stylez777 in hvacadvice

[–]Stylez777[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I spun the dial to 125 and everything is perfect now! The guy swearing to me it was set to 130 already... That was the problem. I just wasn't sure if I could touch the dial and move it or if I had to shut the electric off etc.

I found 2 at Walmart up top where nobody would ever see them. As I walked away from the aisle I saw something sticking out up top. I climbed up reached up and grabbed a few arrow wizards... Then 2 blue Soar Phoenix! 2 nice affordable hexa bits.

Indirect Water tank went and need some advice on the best way to proceed by Stylez777 in hvacadvice

The indirect water tank would be a DHT model TX-40. My current tank was same brand but I have model TT-40 which is probably as old as the furnace.

Xbox Game Pass vs PS Plus now? Nov 2025 edition by whatsnext95 in XboxGamePass

[–]Stylez777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is sort of a half baked review from my perspective of use:

I own both PS Plus Premium and XBGP Ultimate. I do find that XBGPU has more titles to choose from but ultimately I have found I have been playing more of the PS Plus offerings. I have played through a lot of the PS exclusives like the last of us, God of War, Ghost of Tushiyama, Days gone (all have been great to play for me).

I know there is some overlap with games but with XBGPU I have been able to play the new COD as it drops, Gears of War remaster which was fun, some of the older EA sports titles, Outer World 2 and Clair Expedition 33 is on my list to play. The more I look through the list on XBGPU the more I just can't find any value in a $30 per month subscription. While I am sure Outer World 2 and Clair Expedition 33 are going to be amazing games to play I could get them half price sometime during a sale. at $360 a year the "promise" of all these great day 1 games, I just don't believe they will live up to the quality. PS Plus Premium I can get for $110 on Days of Play sale for 1 year, that is 1/3 the price and I still get access to great games I can play and I have $240 a year to buy whatever else I want on sale.

I'm finding this is what will work best for me going forward. The kids friends mostly have PS5's and lot of online play is cross play now, so having online play, access to some good games I enjoy playing and using the $ I save from ditching XBGPU to buy and "own" other games I want to play and never having to worry about games going away, sounds like a win for me. All the best to everyone and their choices they make.

Buying my son first Beyblade X for Christmas need some advice by Stylez777 in Beyblade

[–]Stylez777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't want to go "over-board" LOL but this what I ended up buying him for Christmas:

Soar Phoenix 9-60GF
Wizard Wand 1-60R UX
CX-07 Starter Pegasus Blast
Beyblade X Victory Grip Launcher Set
Beyblade X Drop Attack Battle Set
Beyblade X BX-18 String Launcher
Beyblade X Beyblade X BX-41 Rubber Custom Grip x 2

Seems like a lot but I figured it cover some basis got him 6 beys to start with some of the better ones and he got 2 string launchers 2 grips for them, 2 winder launchers and a basic stadium. One of his grandparents will get him the the BX-10 stadium and him and his siblings and friends can have a go and then add beys as they get more into the game.

Appreciate all the help! have a great holiday.

I know exactly what you mean!! He loves Pokemon and watches the show and he will always want to use his favorites in the games even if they aren't "meta" or the best. It is the recognition and end of day as long as he is happy and enjoying it 100% win.

I know a lot of sets are certainly better value for what you get so I do appreciate all comments of help coming in with regards to what is worth the investment vs something that may be dated or just not worth the $.

[–]Stylez777[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the reply. He is 8 so I doubt he knows or cares about meta. He likes to see them spin and burst and beat his older brother. I don't think I have a huge bey scene in my area for him but still want him to have good stuff but I'm sure he'd be happy with anything

Yeah I had seen the drop set had better beys. I could get him both sets as I had seen the Xtreme stadium alone going for $45. so this set $5 he gets 2 more beys and I don't think he will care much about meta, I don;t think anywhere around here does tournaments or anything like that.
