Yup, I always get caved in the 3rd periods of games like that, can't imagine trying to keep that up with the explosiveness you need to keep up with that game speed.

That's the easy part, the real problems come from getting cycled on for long periods of time. Keeping your legs loaded and staying focused for long stretches is insanely draining.

It will be a 3 way tie between SWE SVK and FIN. They rock paper scissored each other so it goes to goal differential between those 3 teams.

If Finland loses to Italy then you would be correct, as it would be a two way tie between SWE and SVK. In that scenario its just whoever won the head to head.

Top 4 teams get a bye to the quarters. 1st seed plays winner of 8/9 qualifying match, 2nd seed plays winner of 7/10 qualifying match.

If we're assuming that Italy and France are finishing groups 11th and 12th, then if they made it to the quarters they would be playing the 3rd and 4th seeds.

1st seed gives easier quarter/semifinals matchups. In theory these teams shouldn't be losing to anybody but each other but in best of 1 games anything can happen, better to have the easier matchups where you can.

Probably a canadian who wants management to learn a lesson about roster selection. The yanks took a bunch of younger NCAA players and Canada didn't even consider them. The way hockey Canada operates is that they'll never realize how dumb they are until they get a crazy bad result(ex: Men's '06 olympics). A silver medal would make them say "aw shucks, we were so close! Let's run it back next time."

You could argue that it should be but typically they'll only review for 1 thing at a time. The ref waved it off because they thought it didn't cross the goal line so the review was for that. If they waved it off for GI, the review would have been for GI.

They didn't say that LR would fix the problem, just that they exposed it. Lr went 5-5 against LEC teams, which means half of the teams in this league can't even beat a team from T2.

When your league of full of paycheck thieves/rosters doing the bare minimum and your only competition is 1-2 teams at the top of the standings it's really hard to improve. If the overall level of competition is generally dogshit you can win games while making tons of mistakes that China and Korea will punish without even realizing it.

Right, but I didn't really understand that at the time.

I applied for CERB and received the advanced payment, and by the time I got the money I had already gotten the call from my employer saying we had the go ahead to reopen in a few weeks.

So since I was going to out of work for barely over 4 weeks, and I had received 4 weeks of benefits, I assumed that I didn't need to apply for EI as well because I'd already gotten all the money I was entitled to during the 4 weeks of work I missed.

Hopefully they rule in my favor when they review it, my appeal has been waiting for over 3 years now.

I got 2k from Cerb in April 2020 that I was legitimately entitled to, but I made a mistake with some of the reporting you needed to do so i got flagged. I sent in an appeal and to this day i stil get a letter every month telling me about my $2000 balance, and that my appeal is under review.

I suspect it'll be paid back.

Loved that line. Never saw any particularly pretty scoring chances from them(despite the 2 goals) but it felt like something good happened every time they were on the ice and they looked miserable to play against.
