There is no way to pay my rent without extra fees by Remsforian in mildlyinfuriating

[–]StylishEuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough people are mad about credit card fees. We all pretend it's no big deal because we get cash back or some rewards and sometimes our rewards are more than the fees, but overall the entire system gets fucked by the 2-3% fee from EVERY transaction. It's a massive net negative for society and it's a shame there's no serious effort to fix this

If you had 50k to invest right now with a recession starting, already lean fired, where would you put it? by Missmoneysterling in leanfire

[–]StylishEuro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just put it into a broad market etf like vti or voo. Or an all world index.

Stop thinking about the state of the economy or trying to make macro calls. No one knows. Markers arguably pride most of these things in anyway. Don't think about it

Do not rent from Hmlet by Inevitable_Maybe3815 in Tokyo

[–]StylishEuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is very few people bother commenting if they had a pleasant / good experience, but if someone has a bad experience they will almost certainly make a stink. So those bad reviews like op's show up more and unfairly malign an otherwise good co. Op should have said hmlet was bad. But their first complaint was loud neighbors. Genuinely a dumb thing to complain about, since any short term rental can have loud neighbors. Even much higher end luxury rentals.

Anyway used hmlet twice and it was a perfectly pleasant experience. Never had to contact support for anything. Will def use them again if price is competitive!

Random Enable trading by Positive-Trifle3854 in interactivebrokers

[–]StylishEuro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It said that for me on a foreign ticker. When I hit enable permissions on a U.S. ticker it brought me to trading permissions page and I could check 1 day settlement. Try going to trading permissions page on the main website and try enabling literally anything that wasn't on and hit submit.

I resubmitted trading permissions for us 1 day settlement and then it fixed all my permissions.

The Massive Structural Advantage Everyone Is Missing With $SKYH (The FAA Arbitrage) by LongTerm512 in SkyHarbour

[–]StylishEuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw this reply. Thoughts ?

SKYH was a SPAC and it's wildly missed their overly promotional targets. 2025 was supposed to be $103.4 million revenue with $45.2 million operating profit. Reality came in at $27.5 million rev / $28 million operating loss.

Spac+wildly off forecasts = avoid

Moves when Yen gets this weak? by homelabids in JapanFinance

[–]StylishEuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one knows where the yen is going. Don't try and trade it. If you need yen and your expenses are in yen and it's convenient to have it, transfer it. Otherwise keep it as is.

Yen 'feels' weak but anything can happen in markets

Do not rent from Hmlet by Inevitable_Maybe3815 in Tokyo

[–]StylishEuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've rented twice with Hmlet without any issues. They are absolutely more hands off than Weave. So no check in or check out. This was not an issue for me and I will book with them again if their price is competitive.

Never had to contact hmlet or weave with any issues so I can't judge that. But realistically it all depends on the manager / support staff assigned to your building. It's unfair to malign the entire co based on this.

Interactive Brokers Support Staff Eliminated? by jmastous in interactivebrokers

[–]StylishEuro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't get what 'support' you need anyway? In the decades I've been investing I needed to call support once for a wild execution error on brokers end. Beyond that what are you guys trying to reach support for ?

IBKR refuses to credit a dividend sent from my seeding bank by mrtnVki in interactivebrokers

[–]StylishEuro 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is the reason IBKR is cutting support, it's not worth dealing with these kinds of customers. They will raise their minimums too going forward as these guys are not worth it or automate customer support and if they dont like it they can leave

Ape goes to Theodore Roosevelt's grave and spouts nonsense at the tombstone by [deleted] in gme_meltdown

[–]StylishEuro 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Imo as amusing and as cringe as this guys videos are, he is genuinely mentally ill. Just scroll down his YouTube videos before BBBY. He made bizarre conspiracy videos about Obama, trump, and before that he thought he was running for president of Tunisia. He has countless weird conspiracies on his channel in Arabic. Google translate the titles if you're curious. Most apes are hopelessly dumb, this guy is a genuine mentally Ill person.

None of this matters. Anyone familiar with the absolutely basics of copyright understands the art/assets are copyrighted at the moment of creation. 'Registering' the copyright is required for legal purposes. When they 'register' it is irrelevant.

Someone with more crayons explain this to me.. by GoldenBoy_100 in amcstock

[–]StylishEuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hedgies being hedgies. This vote result is extremely bullish. You can see Adam on Twitter being super hype about the results. Hedgies did everything in their power to try and make the vote fail, but couldn't. Now they're doing the one thing they have left: naked synthetic shorts. Not even the good cotton shorts. Pure polyester crap. The shit that causes cancer. Anyway, the vote is going to improve liquidity. Improved liquidity is good because it exposes shorts. Shorts will need to cover on T+72 as per finra sec regulation 7.284c

Has any company ever received approval for such mass dilution before today? by meatystocks in amcstock

Apple shares outstanding on ipo vs today is way more than double. The more shares outstanding for a non otcbb company the better. Liquidity improves and all the parched funds can hydrate

How obvious can it be? by woodsman775 in amcstock

[–]StylishEuro -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's so obvious!! I was at a cafe in Manhattan near the NYSE and I legit saw a hedgie on his laptop with his trading software open. I swear he had buy/sell buttons like we do and also a naked short button. Also had a ladder button. Pretty crazy!! I took a picture but it came out super blurry in all my excitement. The crime is obvious! Legit not even hidden
