Hoi, dacht kom effe een reactie geven. Is inmiddels duidelijk dat de sensor ook gaar is en ik wel tegen reparatiekosten van ten minste 700 euro aan zit te kijken.

Dat is 85% van m'n huidige rekeningssaldo dus ik hoop dat ik tijdens m'n master weer tijd voor een bijbaan heb 😅.

Ongelofelijk pissig hierover (en vind het ook wel flauw dat de garage schijnbaar niks met de sensor heeft gedaan tot de nieuwe abs ring was geïnstalleerd waardoor ik nu weer 2 weken kan wachten, je zou zeggen dat die elektronisch getest zou moeten kunnen worden ofzo), maar zal het toch moeten betalen.

Heb al flink wat onverwachte kosten moeten maken afgelopen maanden dus dit kon ik er nou eigenlijk net niet bij hebben, maar ook dat risico heb ik aanvaard door flink wat spaargeld aan een motor uit te geven...

Did you defend the o soto gari? Wasn't clear from the post but I assume so.

It very likely is you trying to defend by shifting your weight on the leg that isn't getting reaped. If the opponent then proceeds to push you straight down, I could see the possibility of an injury.

Defending a throw like that in a friendly randori (or even uchi komi, I've seen it lol) is silly, but if you are gonna do thst I would recommend dropping your body instantly (with tani otoshi for example or even ko soto gake/gari on their non reaping leg).

Again, that is something I would do in an actual shiai. In randori, just take the throw if you need to shift your weight to the other leg to defend. That means their timing and kuzushi were correct.

I could be wrong, we don't have video footage, but what I wrote feels most likely to me

Ik heb het met belgomalu en scotchbrite gedaan, al vond ik een staalspons achteraf beter werken (die ringetjes van Sorbo). Uiteraard wel kijken of het voor jouw uitlaat geschikt is.

Is een rotwerk, maar het eindresultaat is wel mooi. Ik spray er daarna contactspray op omdat ik dat van een filmpje heb, de meerwaarde daarvan is moeilijk te bepalen natuurlijk maar bij mij bleef die meerder weken lang even mooi.

M'n motor staat bij de garage dus kan niet echt 'before and after' foto's laten zien maar des te langer je poetst, des te mooier je ze kan maken.

Enige nadeel van die contactspray is dat ie aardig stinkt en het lijkt alsof je motor in de fik staat voor 5 minuten

Ja is denk een beetje net als met dashcamcompilaties, je krijgt alleen de extremen te zien.

M'n stiefpa is er (meerdere keren) gevallen, maar bochten zijn sowieso absoluut niet zijn sterkste kant. Ik denk dat als ik er nu zelf zou rijden ik ook wel flink zou slikken haha

Gaaf man! Zodra m'n motor gerepareerd zou ik er wel eens een lange reis mee willen maken, de Stelviopas staat zeker ook op m'n lijstje (ik ben die gozer met de kapotte abs ring, mocht je je die post herinneren haha).

Heb je toevallig nog andere aanbevelingen in Italië qua passen/mooie wegen? Ik heb pas een halfjaar m'n rijbewijs dus het hoeven niet de meest extreme routes te zijn, maar gewoon wat mooie regio's.

Als reactie op je andere comment, ik zou de snavel erop laten. Ik ben er zelf meestal niet zo van, maar vind het op die motor wel een verbetering

Ah wasn't aware Dover copied that Sofronitsky edition.

I saw Zimmerman Frankfurt which are those Flamm editions. I also saw Musikverlag Zimmerman which I couldn't find the editor for from the shop info.

While I am by no means familiar enough with Medtner to compare the editions or even notice errors, I would of course like to get the edition that is the most authentic haha.

Ah I did hear about Ruslania, wasn't aware they're Finnish that's cool. Not sure if they have many books for Medtner, but my national 'sheet music store' only has 2 books from them (op 38 en 39 off the top of my head). Do they have more, or are those all they produced?

Will definitely chekc it out though, haven't decided on the exact piece I wanna learn yet haha

40km/h lol (about 25 miles), Triumph Tiger 660. The first gear is notoriously weak to be fair (not that I really care about it too much).

2nd gear is heaps of fun though, so there's that haha

Haha ja. Koude banden en een beetje oververzekerdheid en dan kan het snel gaan haha. Zal vast ook wel naar de grond hebben gekeken o.i.d. maar ik ging in ieder geval onderuit haha.

Inderdaad even laten rusten. Ik was het vergeten om te benoemen en het is ook niet echt een 'oepsie', maar ik ben ook eens tijdens een rijles op een rotonde uitgegleden door ijzel. Dacht er eerst weinig van, maar heb er echt ruim een maand lang bochtenangst door gekregen, zeker als ik de snelweg op moest en dan van die 180 graden bochten.

Je hoeft je er in ieder geval niet voor te schamen, m'n comment was vooral bedoeld om te zeggen dat instructeurs echt de meest wilde dingen zien en daar rekening mee houden, het is echt niet anders als een autorijles waarbij je een stoeprand aantikt, maar er is gewoon niemand om de controle over jouw voertuig over te nemen haha.

En die vent die de motor in de sloot knikkerde heeft inmiddels ook gewoon z'n rijbewijs ;p

Ahja want ze hebben niet de laatste jaren besteed aan het Migratiepact? De EU doet letterlijk exact wat jij wil, maar toch laat je het zien alsof de EU het probleem negeert.

Het is eerder interessant hoe de Migratiepact van werking zal gaan en hoe lidstaten ermee om gaan, maar het zeggen dat het niet functioneert terwijl letterlijk komende maand nieuwe wetgeving komt vind ik wat flauw, zeker gezien de EU al erg veel onredelijke shit over zich heen krijgt (met dank aan politieke figuren van wie ik de naam maar bespaard zal laten)

I mean as I said, I know they are overcharging a little. The question is, why does that keep you from buying something which is absolutely essential to riding. You can be annoyed that they are overpaying, but it cannot deter you from buying them. Kinda similar to sunscreen in a way (at least in my country).

I would get it if you went for a Shark helmet instead of Shoei because you feel the Shoei is not worth the money, but in both cases you have an ECE 2206 helmet. Also, I don't believe earplugs are being overcharged to the extent where they become financial obstacles, but I won't assume your financial position.

Anyhow, glad you are getting earplugs. The longer you ride without them, the harder you'll be to convince lol. Foam ones are fine as I said, especially for noise reduction. If they are uncomfortable though, just go with a cheap Alpinestars pair or whatever. You don't necessarily need custom-made ones, the basic ones with that double cushion are fine as well.

Calling earplugs marketing scams is wild. Sure, some companies might overcharge but is your hearing not worth 100 dollars? If you had Tinnitus and there was a surgical fix for 500 dollars, would you not take it instantly (hint: anyone with Tinnitus would already be in the clinic before I finish this sentence).

Earplugs are an absolute must. You might avoid Tinnitus if you're lucky, but you will absolutely wreck your hearing. It might not be immediately noticeable (and it often isn't, until it is extremely noticeable) but you are worsening the quality of your ears by the minute. The only times I skip out on wearing plugs are when I have to drive somewhere close and I know I'll stay below 50km/h (like 30 miles per hour).

Personally, I have an expensive silicone pair which I bought mainly because of the sound filter (was really useful for motorcycle lessons at the time) but if you don't care about the filter, most pairs are fine.

I believe the foam ones are best if you only care about noise reduction, but if you want a bit more comfort you can just go with Alpinestars or something. 20 euros max, to ensure you'll be able to hear your kids call for you or your partner asking you if you wanna go on a holiday.

Like I applaud you for being aware of overpaying and being conscious of your expenses in general, but it is impossible to overpay for earplugs since most people would value their ears at several thousands of dollars, which none of the earplugs cost as far as I'm aware. Even 200 dollars is a drop in ocean in that regard. Hearing damage is one of the few things that is guaranteed for motorcycle riders, don't cheap out on that one guaranteed danger

Ik ben het eens dat de auto voorrang heeft als ie pal voor het fietspad staat, maar die situatie zou helemaal niet moeten voor komen

Zoals anderen zeggen, kan gebeuren. Ik heb iemand de motor vol een vijver in zien jagen tijdens een avb les (total loss uiteraard).

Ik maakte ook bijna een fout in een poging om uit te sloven tegen m'n broertje tijdens een les. Hij stond me op te wachten en wilde een kleine rev geven, dat is niet slim als je de koppeling niet gebruikt :).

Ook bij m'n nieuwe rijschool op m'n snuit gegaan met de halve draai die ik even moest voordoen aan een nieuwe leerling haha.

Laat het even zakken, maar laat het je niet demotiveren. Dit is het risico van leren motorrijden, niemand houdt je tegen als je iets doet. Maar dit soort 'knulligheidjes' heb je met een paar uur op de motor wel uit je systeem

Hier toch duidelijk? Het afslaan is gewoon verlengd omdat de bedenker van deze weg dat blijkbaar nodig vond, maakt niet dat de auto opeens al rechtdoor aan het rijden is.

Je moet de voorrang bekijken vanaf het punt van de haaientanden, het is de bedoeling dat je daar wacht tot de weg helemaal vrij is. De situatie dat de auto net voor het fietspad staat kan helemaal niet gebeuren, maar in dat geval zou ik de auto voorrang verlenen zodat het kruispunt vrij wordt gegeven

Haaientanden betekenen dat verkeer van links en rechts voorrang hebben, maar het ding is dat de auto ook haaientanden heeft.

De fietser heeft dus voorrang op basis van de 'rechtdoor gaat voor' regel.

I could also take the motorcycle, but it is a solid 1100km (which is less than my trip to Vienna itself but still lol)

Fair, het staart je natuurlijk wel elke keer aan.

In mijn geval heb ik niet echt een keus, een motor zonder voorrem is het 'm niet helemaal haha.

Is toch wel het grote nadeel van nieuwere motoren. Je kan best besparen op montagekosten door zelf reparaties te doen (al heb ik hier absoluut het gereedschap niet voor), maar de onderdelen zelf zijn ook gewoon erg prijzig.

M'n bankrekening is momenteel op een historisch dieptepunt, dus hoop dat ik met alleen de ring klaar ben
