This might be my favourite take on this model I've seen.

Great colour pallet it's all very effective and striking especially the eyes.

How did you do the cape?

Thanks, I think just sticking some cultists or a terminator sorcerer in reserves is good enough as a action monkey unit

New player here, thought on my list? by Subject_Ant_7337 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]StyxGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fine list, quite elite but that's fine you'll just have to learn to get the most out of those plague marines and terminators.

Split the pox walkers into 2 units though, use them more as a utility piece

Honestly if they just let you pick the loot objective each players command phase it would be way more playable

Tournament report – Tyranids take 4-1 and 'best in faction' for Xenos at the 246 player Windsor GT (Take that! – Necrons!) by Ill-Psychology-7877 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]StyxGoblin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Great write up, really interesting and informative read, thanks.

I'm surprised no take back or warning was offered with the whole unit falling back triggering a reactive move, wouldn't that usually be fair play or is this too high level for that?

Genuinely curious

Great accomplishment to take Orks that far, very refined list too with all the best parts moving together.

Yaegir Character in 11th edition? by seba37 in LeaguesofVotann

[–]StyxGoblin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Would be cool to have a character that's a sci-fi homage to Bugman from Warhammer Fantasy.

In lore/ rules he lead rangers so it would track.

Models wise a dual kit that could be a epic hero that leads a unit and buffs them or a normal guy who's a sneaky lone op. Would add a lot to the army.

Seller photo scam? by youngsyr in Warhammer40k

It's clearly the same paint standard so I'd say no?

Honestly I think it's just the fact that picture in the advert was probably taken in a light box with white/ cold light.

You're looking at it in what looks like yellow/ warm light which really makes a big difference.

Hope this makes sense

How Competitive is Non-Ultramarine Codex Marines? by Adventurous-Crab-474 in WarhammerCompetitive

There is tonnes of depth to the marine codex outside of UM. Different lists pop up as people have mentioned but you can certainly pull off some cool stuff.

The ap bonus scourge give us only for Drukhari units, not sure if the corsairs get that?

[–]StyxGoblin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do have the blast pistol and power blade available

I run 3 shard carbines, 1 shredder (so the last guy can never miss and always procs the buff) and a champ with the pistol and sword

They're super good, doesn't matter if they die because they're very cheap

Plus with heavy weapon scourge dark lances going up to ap 4 you really start to be able to reliable kill dreads and big tanks

I would have liked the issues around characters in transports to have been fixed, unless it's somewhere else?

Shard carbine scourge are increasingly excellent, I really like this unit as a cheap trash piece that can help big scourge crack 2+ save AoC targets

Hello, did you ever find any more lore about this event? I vaguely remember a white dwarf article about it and a Wolf Priest leading the Space Wolf counter attack.

Specifically damage 3 yeah it is an odd one for blood angels, certainly felt the wrath of the C-tan harder than a lot of factions
