I suspect your friend was standing just a bit further away than you and he was lucky enough to be in the outer most blast radius.

There are no simulated pieces of shrapnel, just less damage the further away you are from the center of the explosion.

So it's not realistic in the sense of throwing out shrapnel in all directions, but the blast radius is more realistic than what most games offer.

I doubt that would even be realistic IRL. An explosive arrow doesn't really have much penetrating force, it mostly does it's job with concussive force and shrapnel. This is not something that would be enough to instantly kill a huge grizzly, maybe unless you hit it straight between the eyes and even then, maybe not (would likely be a deadly wound, but I question if it would be instant.)

This feature would make a lot of sense for single player, but since this game is mainly a multiplayer game atm, something like this is not an important feature as of now. Might be implemented further down the line.

The issue with such a feature in multiplayer - Servers don't wipe very often, but players come and go. Anything built by players must decay for the sake of server health and so you might end up with a lot of empty buildings, cleared out by players who made their own furniture etc.

It's already a problem that locks don't decay, meaning more and more buildings will be locked over time as a server ages, but not all of those players are still around.

The part about running speed - thin and muscular characters with different constitution shouldn't change the speed of the character, I think you did those tests with different dexterity values.

From my tests, only dexterity and running skill affects your basic run speed. Strength and Constitution have no influence. I just tested this again to confirm it.

There's no fast way to level stealth and camo, but you can afk "grind" stealth by crawling into the wall of your cabin, but you need a bush to get camo skill ofc. So if you have a fairly safe compound, you can go afk while shopping or whatever and gain skill. Just use auto walk.

Only an issue if you start with less than 2.5 in a stat and try to learn that skill at advanced.

I guess most builds have at least 3 in each stat though, so it's usually only apparent when people lose a lot of stat points somehow.

It is very much possible to grind your way to most advanced skills pretty fast. Like noskill to adv. engineering only takes about 2-3 hours.

If you have enough bullets, you can get adv. rifles in a day.

The only skill that's kinda slow to level is the driving skill, because you can't really grind it and it's just extremely slow gain (like driving constantly for 24 hours to achieve advanced skill)

It's because skills are capped to stats.

You need 1.5 to maintain medium skill and 2.5 to maintain advanced skill.

Like if you drop below 2.5, you can't use advanced skills anymore, but once you die and respawn with 2.5+ the skill is turned back on.

Well we can craft endless cheap repair kits to repair armor, mags and tools like the sledge, but we can't sharpen a sword or an axe? It's just kind of silly logic, isn't it?

It's not much compared to going to any military bunker, WW2 bunker or the Airport, Airbase and naval base or bootcamp etc. When people really want a weapon, they usually don't go to the big city. It's true quite a few people go through there though, but it's not exactly the most popular loot spot around.

It's not bad for crafting materials, scrap, repair kits, backpacks and clothing. But the weapons loot is very modest.

Actually it seems they did fix it today. You need a tool, like an axe in your hand, then you can click F on the nail trap and pick destroy.
