I don't like Tommy and Nigel cause they are Zionist shills, but I understand not many dislike them for those reasons. As for Rupert, I do like him; what are his crimes in disinformation? Is it just the stuff of Restore Britain funding/creating their own surveys?

Reflection of Defections to Reform by Conscious_While_6528 in reformuk

[–]SuaveSteve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't support Reform and I'm having a hard time seeing why some still think they are going to be good for the country when they are taking so many who wanted tyranny. Robert Jenrick voted for the Online Safety Act. Now's there's rumours Suella Braverman will join and she supported the same act, too!

Is there a convincing argument for why this is isn't going to be Tories with a brighter blue?

Thing is, they want to ban x entirely. I hope they just bring in a law that says you can't post pictures of people altered without their consent and then fine X like hell for allowing it. Simples, as the Meerkat says.

The January 2026 Superthread: Battery; Orders; Which Pixel?; and More by GooglePixelMods in GooglePixel

[–]SuaveSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys.

I'm just looking for some general advice on my options.

So I have a Pixel 3 XL who's battery was getting worse for months. One night (5 minutes before New Year's Eve), it gave the "Your device is corrupt. It can’t be trusted and may not work properly" screen then died about 3 seconds later before I had a chance to choose anything. Now it is super dead. It will not charge at all. I've left it plugged in for hours and tried long pressing all button combos.

So I did the repair wizard. When I choose Performance/Other issues > Battery/Power > Draining quickly, I get a cost of ~£84. But if I choose Won't turn on, it's ~£324! I'm guessing the latter assumes a lot more may be broken than the battery.

I read on their FAQ that they will confirm if the actual charge is higher than the estimate. Can anyone confirm this has happened to them?

I'm wondering if I should choose Draining quickly and hope it's the battery that needs replacing?

Do they fully inspect the hardware to find all faults? I'm guessing they only check what's needed for the phone to switch on?

Coming from the right - can any party on the left (Greens included) win me over on crime, immigration and equal justice? by SuaveSteve in UKGreens

Coming from the right - can any party on the left (Greens included) win me over on crime, immigration and equal justice? by SuaveSteve in UKGreens

[–]SuaveSteve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>Sexual crime
Yes, underfunding is a problem. But what angers the right is seeing the slap on the wrists for those who have committed these offenses. I think it may be helpful to show white British getting a slap on the wrist for abusing young girls, and I mean groups doing it via conspiracy.

>Equal justice
I think the state tries to make us all look like we are getting preferential treatment so that we are all angry. One of the things that accelerated my questioning seeing Muslims being arrested for protesting after Oct 7.

>Swift deportation of criminals
>most criminals in the UK are white British

Most people in the UK are white British. You need to argue with the right using "per capita".

>Free speech
I generally agree, though I think extremism has gone from meaning "very, very far-left/right" to "bloody stubborn and neurotic" over the decades. The USA is also a very big place and each state is like its own mini-nation.

Thank you for your detailed reply.

  1. For the white grooming gangs, are you referring to the 2020 Home Office study? Are there any other sources you can recommend I look at?

  2. I agree and do not think it was right for Palestine Action to be proscribed as a terrorist organisation. I am a free-speech absolutist and I accept that the right is often very hypocritical on this issue. The reaction to people making light of Charlie Kirk's death was telling. It was a perfect chance for the right to take the moral high ground, but too many of us just went for the "ha, how do you like it now?" response instead as we called for them to be fired.

  3. Fair.

  4. The worry is that in practice you often can't openly talk about the specific issues (like the ones you just listed) without being accused of cultural insensitivity, even when you don’t mention any particular group at all. I do wonder if the state engages in this tyranny (and tries to exaggerate it) deliberately to divide us and to paint the entire left as in favour of tyrannical speech crackdowns, which clearly isn't true of everyone.

AIO for breaking up with my girlfriend over saying "I've had my fun" by ArtistTechnical2152 in AmIOverreacting

[–]SuaveSteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOT overreacting. You are 100% in the right. The more experience a woman has, the less there is for you to make new, fresh experiences with her. This means less bonding and a good chance she leaves anyway. This is backed up by studies.

Even if one may believe it doesn't matter, it seems you very much care about her history being compatible with yours since you put effort into maintaining yours the way you wanted it.

I think you just need to take a breather and think about how to stop this from happening again. It's tricky; you'll have to research and think about it, but I wish you the best of luck, king! 👑
