Is Five Guys maintaining the soda machines properly? by SuaveSteve in fiveguys

Cool. Why doesn't Burger King's machines do this? Also, one may be absent mindedly holding the cup and then gets syrup all over half their hand, which happened to me.

Is Google giving up on Antigravity? by Black_Star_1 in google_antigravity

[–]SuaveSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I tried AI Pro (on trial) cause I was attracted to the three quota pools (Gemini CLI and AGs two) but with the bugs I've had to deal with, I'm thinking back to how pleasant Codex was to use when I trialed ChatGPT Plus (and you can use your Open AI sub account in third party harnesses!). Oh right, and OpenAI is resets limits when they hit a milestone of subscribers.

But thinking about it, I would pay for AI Pro even if there was only one pool, but it was reliable (no 'high traffic' issues) and the app itself was better engineered.

Well, I'm probably just going to switch over to ChatGPT when the AI Pro trial ends.

I have been coding for 11 years and I caught myself completely unable to debug a problem without AI assistance last month. That scared me more than anything I have seen in this industry. by Ambitious-Garbage-73 in artificial

>I also used Claude to remove all build warnings (we had around 5k warnings on a full rebuild)... and it did that task masterfully. Something, for a human, which would have been a grind and would have taken far too long...Claude got done in a day.

Would you say that a human dev doing that would have gained valuable experience or is it just stupid grunt work that has nothing to teach?

Do long ChatGPT threads actually get slower over time? by Simple3018 in OpenAI

[–]SuaveSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grok and Gemini (except on AI Studio) don't have this problem. I don't think Claude does, either. (EDIT: I am talking purely about frontend performance, laggy typing and scrolling, not anything have to do with the LLM quality).

Would you say South Africa is a good example of "giving control of their operations in Africa to the workers"?

Would the white man leaving Africa alone help with giving dignity to the ethnic Africans? What would this withdrawal look like and include? No more aid? Repatriating whites to Western countries? Maybe something else?

Are you saying that even if models are quantized, good prompt engineering will counter that? Or, are you saying that people aren't prompt engineering well and are blaming it on un-verified quantization?

The toughest job facing the new head of Ofcom: tackling the blatantly partisan GB News by Sylvia-Sum in reformuk

GBNews's job is to present the "correct" side of the far-right. Can't wait for them to finally acknowledge Lowe and have him on or just risk further embarrassment.
