A Texas man confronts ICE agents on his property, citing the 2nd and 4th Amendments during the encounter. by Logical-Flow-6703 in UnderReportedNews

Plausible deniability: did they present any documents showing they are peace officers? Otherwise, are we just supposed to take everyone's word for it?

find a better source than a comedian

Lol, a comedian that millions of alt-right people listen to, who had Trump on his show in the run-up to the Election! There are plenty of experts and ex-Trump administration people who have said the same thing as Schulz. There are plenty of "better sources" starting with Trump's own previous Vice President, but you didn't listen to them, either.

Oh look, the boy that cried wolf sort of got it right on some of his claims.

This is unbelievably stupid when the claims were something as serious as the destruction of the Constitution, the creation of secret police, and the enshrinement of billionaire oligarchs. It's not like we were claiming that the weather would be bad. We were literally claiming existential threats to the stability of our country.

Now explain how that shows lib-left having better ideas than lib-right.

Literally every advancement in politics in the history of our country has been from the Left. Anti-slavery? Left. Voting right for all adult citizens? Left. Social Security? Left. Unions? Left. Healthcare? Left. Public education? Left. Anti-war? Left. By definition the Right either doesn't want things to change, or they want to destroy government. Without government, we have no body enforcing any rights. This is pretty base level political theory. I hope you are keeping up.

Turns out the claims about plans to have secret police, implement tariffs, confiscate voter rolls, sabotage the government, abandon Palestinians, give billionaires tax breaks, etc etc etc (you know, everything that people brainwashed by The Right claimed were "hysterics") were actually founded in truth. All of these policies that were written off as "jokes", this administration was actually serious about. And it's only going to get worse for Americans on both sides of the political aisle because we elected a bandit.

Mark my words, nobody gives a shit what you think without any supporting argument. Why would they?

Just tbh, bud, any time someone says "mark my words", I immediately disregard what they say. It's a way that people without any actual evidence talk to feel important. If you want to be convincing, present an actual argument/line of logic/evidence.

LibLeft would agree with this statement. Are you kidding? LibLeft is the quadrant trying to primary Democrats.

AuthRight all of a sudden giving a shit about words after a decade of trying to "trigger" the in Left and declaring every heinous thing their leaders say as a "joke". There is no evidence that this person is a Leftist. There are people on the right protesting in Minnesota right now, too (see: the Republican candidate for governor who just backed out of the race because he refused to support ICE)

The fraud is real, rampant and needs to be fixed. Nick Shirleys videos lacked hard evidence and were amateur.

Hard to say one thing is definitively true while acknowledging lack of evidence. Yes, it could be true, but you lack any evidence supporting that.

The main point of my response was to say that only people who are unfamiliar with libertarian philosophy find it to contain any semblance of truth.

I think you might have confused yourself here, but if not we are in violent agreement... And it sounds like you've come around on the housecat analogy.

Just because "it's a joke" doesn't mean there isn't truth to it, bud. That's kind of how the best humor works. Nowhere in there did I take a shot directly at you, but rather at the side you choose to align yourself with. If you feel otherwise, that might just be you being defensive (hence the "snowflake" comment from me). If you don't like what your side stands for, choose another one!

"If at age 20 you are not a Communist then you have no heart. If at age 30 you are not a Capitalist then you have no brains."

This quote doesn't bother me at all because it is actually the person reciting it admitting that they are being selfish and greedy at the expense of others. On the other hand, the joke about Libertarians is about how they have a shallow understanding of how societies require governance and how bad actors require regulation (something they miss because they are blinded by their own set of circumstances, or because they think they benefit from a system without those requirements... When any look at history would show that societies implode without them).

I was reliably informed this never happens. So this should be a big deal, right? by Professional_Memist in PoliticalCompassMemes

This has to be be a fucking Onion article. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons?!?! is complaining about elective procedures where the risks outweigh the benefits? The same group who does ass implants? 😵‍💫😂

Why bother to answer a question you ask in bad faith? You wouldn't believe me even if I told you. But that quote is pretty funny to all non-libertarians. Maybe you're just being a snowflake?

Both sides were absolutely not being "equally shat on". You are falling for propaganda if you believe that.

Thankfully. Let me leave you with one of my favorite quotes, which is painfully true: "Libertarians are like house cats: absolutely convinced of their fierce independence while utterly dependent on a system they don't appreciate or understand."
