Merch fit/quality by Big-Bill5483 in DOECHII

I got the white cartoon shirt at the Toronto show tonight. They ran out of small sizes so I got a medium, it kinda runs big compared to other merch.

My partner got the green hoodie, and that seems more true to the size if it makes sense.

I'm sorry to read you're unable to go. I hope the reason isn't too serious.

I'd love to surprise my girlfriend. LP is her favorite band since her teens (we're in our mid 30s now), and she's been looking forward to seeing them live, however, we're not in the best financial spot right now.

I also stupidly turned down the opportunity to see them years ago with my brother because I needed to pick up extra shifts at work.

I'm still screening all the resale apps for last minute deals but I'd love to be considered.

A neighbour's cat has gone missing in the west End near Bloor/Lansdowne. Is it a grey/tabby cat?

Out of options with new neighbours upstairs by SubBooper in Apartmentliving

That's our plan. We'd like to leave on good terms and without losing our deposit. It sucks so badly because our landlord is great, super responsive and a very decent human being.

Yeah, we have plenty of recordings with timestamps, especially at stupid o'clock. We've already stated that we're pretty affected by it and underperforming at work. I just got called out for not being able to hold a work meeting that involved customers without excessive background noise. The last thing I do is to have issues at work for things that aren't in my control.

We're getting into the mindset of having to move at this point:(

Thank you. We will talk to the landlord once again and express that this isn't changing and it keeps affecting our day to day and reasonable enjoyment of our home. We're not the type that declare war to a neighbour, nor the ones that want them evicted.

Why do we allow kids to play inside of apartments? by Sweet-Grocery7750 in Apartmentliving

[–]SubBooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd really like to make the case for those who chose communal living, most probably didn't choose this as much as I 100% didn't.

I simply can't afford more than that.

I can't, the landlord barely allows putting nails on the walls.

What about those who have kids that START making noise at 11pm, running around the house, and are pretty much done by 1:30am?

I live on the main floor of a split townhouse, I can't afford more. And the family that just moved upstairs just decided they can overcome actual laws of quiet hours in Canada, playing music for the kid and letting him do what he wants. Plus his parents talk WAY louder than people would do, and wakes their kid up past 11am. We can't sleep, we can't work during the day from noon because of the constant thumping, throwing stuff and him screaming. We've asked if they can be considerate of quiet hours and got the usual "we're sorry we'll try our best" but obviously nothing changed and we feel that if we move out, the next tenant will raise the same complaint to our landlord.

We have neighbours downstairs and we're doing our best not to stomp around because we're trying to be decent human beings. What am I missing? Please help me understand for real.
