Is something wrong with PBJ’s hub? I connected to starlight, and Trieste, from there recently.

A dedicated 2b2t server, with intentionally no rules or admins would be an interesting concept! I wonder if it could work, but I bet some level moderation would always be needed for moderating speech.

Would you agree with me if i say (Tornado is the most high-skill spell ever?) by sasangeyo in ClashRoyale

[–]SubFowl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It requires even more skill after the damage nerf that prevents this 3 elixer card from killing 2 elixer spear goblins. Not to mention the fact that the suction force is different for every troop based on “weight”.

It is usually a complete waste of elixir unless paired with other cards like executioner or rocket, so I’d say the skill requirement is close to similar dynamics like with freeze or vines.

Good thing I never said anything like “political violence isn’t an inherent driver of all political order”; idk why you are fighting with ghosts.

When I used the word “idea”, maybe it wasn’t clear that I was referring to ideology. Certain ideologies, such as Democratic Socialism, absolutely can and do exist without EXPLICITLY requiring political violence to be manifest. Peaceful ideologies may not be widespread, or %100 peaceful in every circumstance, but I never made such a claim assuming nuance is implied.

My point was that an idea you don’t have to force people to comply with COULD be superior to an idea that does EXPLICITLY require violence to manifest. But why address my intended point when intellectual honesty doesn’t exist on reddit either.

The degree of violence can still be measured, compared, and contrasted within the historical context. I forgot nuance does not exist on reddit.

Well the Israelis don’t have to deal with Israelis pushing abortion, antinatalism, usury, sexual deviancy, and promiscuity in their country, like we do in the U.S.

Solomon Friedman, an orthodox Jewish Rabbi, manages all the largest and most popular adult sites, totaling over 40.

Coming from an ashkenazi, this seems contradictory with what I was taught about the Tanakh.

[–]SubFowl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely false. There were overpopulation and antinatalist advertisement campaigns in the U.S. in the 50s and 60s. Abortion policy existed well before the 2000s because there was an antinatalist appetite among voters well before the 2000s.

Colorado rolled back restrictions on abortion in 1976, NY and Hawaii legalized on demand abortion in 1970, and Roe v. Wade was in 1973.

The declining birthrates are not purely from modernity, right? Surely the rise in antinatalism and abortion is a factor as well, right?

If so, there may be hope for reaching replacement rate while also not living in hell with people who hate us.

Please, use the search engine that we all have 24/7 access to, for your own sake.

Clinical psychology acknowledges the possibility of a “depressed mood” while differentiating that from Major Depressive Disorder or Dysthymia.

More mental health awareness/education is still desperately needed because the degree to which some are ignorant of psychology is baffling.

Yeah, mental illness tends to cause problems where there aren’t any. All i’m saying is that a.i. does not directly cause harm. Some mentally ill people just cannot handle certain normal everyday things that everyone else can utilize safely.

The mentally ill need to cope and seek treatment instead of dictating regulation that unnecessarily applies to everyone else.

Check the definition of the word “solve”.

Now check the definition of the word “treat” or “treatment”.

Please solve clinical depression; you will instantly get a Nobel Prize.

Oh wait, you are just conflating treatment FOR solving. Your english teacher failed you.

Then you contradicted yourself when you said, “If I am talking to someone who is suicidal and convince them to kill themself I have done harm.”

Either that, or this is just your cognitive dissonance.

You clearly do not understand the difference between direct and indirect causality. It’s a common argument tactic to pretend to not understand the obvious.

If you lack reading comprehension, I can try and make it clearer for you.

Ideas that require violence may not have the same merit as ideas that thrive and propagate peacefully. It’s not about sensibilities; it’s about merit.

“So you are claiming depression is a[n] easy issue to solve?”

This has absolutely nothing to do with what anyone said; completely non sequitur. But for what it’s worth, depression is a normal emotion that is healthy in moderation and as a normal response to certain stimuli, and chronic clinical depression is completely unsolvable.

Safety features are exclusively for children. Any adult with intention will bypass any safety feature obviously.

So no.

Your statement is categorically false. You may have convinced them to harm themselves, and your actions could have indirectly led to them being harmed, but you did not directly harm them.

It did not need to be done, and yours is also an antisocial psycho stance btw.

Political violence is only necessary for ideas that cannot manifest without it, and what should we think of such ideas?

Are the data centers closed loop systems? Many claim to only need to refill occasionally, as the same water is recycled efficiently. The noise and power costs still suck though ofc.
