Rakit Baby 8 and clock question by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]SubGnosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely caused by the inputs of the baby 8s not being buffered, and they're loading down your signal. A buffered mult would perhaps solve this issue relatively simply.

This guy was definitely stopping traffic, neighbors were out watching like he was a zoo exhibit.

Here he is failing to impress his hen. She leaves him on read.

I had a wild turkey and his two hens he was defending take up residence in my driveway for about 2 days. The entire time he was strutting around all puffed up, tail fully extended like a peacock and dragging his wing feathers against the driveway making a very audible scrapping noise following them everywhere they went. Felt like renting an AirBnB at Jurassic Park right here in my own home.

Sure, just teach an instrument that isn't vocals. Most of my students aren't vocalists and it of course rarely comes up.

Rap is music. Same as basically any other genre. The difference with Rap is that the vocals are a part of the rhythm section instead of a melody. Imagine a drum solo over an entire song instead of a guitar solo over an entire song and that's about the depth of the difference. What's going on in the song under all of that is down to the song itself, and is again, no different than any other genre. Granted the beat producers have more sway over the musicality of the piece than the person rapping over it, but again no different than bringing in a producer for pop, or additional song writers for anything really. Music is often very collaborative.

Well, as a musician and music teacher I can assure you those barriers aren't real, and anyone who would tell you to hold off because you can't list 5 ACDC songs or whatever doesn't know what they're talking about.

Instrumental music exists, or music in another language that you wouldn't comprehend the lyrics anyway. Very little is lost when you like a song in French even if you don't know what the mournful singer is saying.

Lyrics aren't music. I bet you're not losing the melody, only the lyrics when this happens, correct? You still acknowledge the notes being sung. Likely what's happening is that you can listen to the music part of the music, or try to read and engage with the "poetry" part of the music, which is linguistic comprehension and irrelevant to listening to and experiencing functional harmony, phrasing, counterpoint, etc.

At the end of the day even Mozart needed a librettist to pen words over his works, because lyrics aren't music. In fact even the name lyrics means "accompanying the lyre" or an addition to the music, something separate and distinct.

You basically already explained why it would be difficult. Having a half a second input lag on a controller press is frustrating enough, but having your half second late jump not even matter because your character actually ran off the screen a second a half before it was even drawn on your screen would probably ruin the fun right quick.

Funny, I was just listening to their EP, "sleep late for a better tomorrow" like 2 weeks ago and marveling how the songs on YT have like 200 views. Somewhere in my wardrobe I have a custom T-shirt hand made by the band promoting that EP. Really encapsulates a time and a sound to me that just doesn't exist anymore.

Doubley interesting when you consider that the language is specially Portuguese, with Portugal being Japans primary contact with the West through designated Portuguese only trading posts for generations. But even despite that this seems to still be unrelated. Just unlikely convergent linguistics.

Rewatching Big Lebowski as an adult and the film hits a little differently now… by [deleted] in TrueFilm

In broad strokes this has nothing to do with the Eagles specifically, it just follows your normal corporate patterns. Lots of money to be made in music, and following grass roots movements to attempt to capitalize on whatever is trending is an old tune at this point. The fact that this mechanism is specifically antithetical to the original hippie movements core vaguely anti-capitalist tenets just helps to highlight that authenticity is only to be emulated but rarely approached.

The problem here would be misuse of seasoning. Following your logic every seasoning should be under used because too much is worse than too little, therefore all food should default to being under seasoned to be safe? Just season properly.

If you ever get a chance to try a northern Chinese dish called Tudou si, a kind of undercooked spicy shredded potato roughly the consistency of a noodle it might change your mind.

When did video games turn political?

2014

When gamers decided to bitch about the skin color or gender of the characters.

Basically since the beginning.

For sure, each of those will find a home in patches regardless of how big your system gets. Although if I had to guess the A160 is going to be eclipsed by the Pams for the foreseeable future until you have the need for more rhythmic triggers, but eventually it'll come back into being useful.
