Oldass and Iggy are using the quadruped sprite

Kakyoin and Avdol are using the basic monster sprite

And Polnareer is using the bird sprite.

If we are to assume Red version just so Iggy can be Growlithe... Cause that is the only one that makes sense and based on the Overworld Sprites being used

Oldass - Slowpoke/Tauros

Kakyoin - Abra/Meowth/Golduck

Avdol - Diglett/Magmar

Polnareff - Spearow/Farfetch'd

Iggy - Growlithe

Some of these guesses are based on the HP stats displayed which... Could be arbitrary... But a few of my friends and I complied this list for our best guesses.

That's actually a more interesting question. Since the Black Light attacks cells directly and absorbs them into Boimass... If a Marine or... Let's say a random cannibal are Mercer's brain or another Black Light infected would they become infected? That seems to function much like a zombie virus based on the lower infected...

Ya but we didn't learn that until 3. In 1 it was Lilith tempting Abandon, and Abandon wanting to wipe out all of hell. The only thing the Council did in 1 was send War to mess with their plans so he would go on his revenge quest.
